I'm doing much better. I've been dealing with some family frustrations and have turned to cleaning the house as a distraction. I plan on getting out to some AA meetings this week though, I need to make sure my head is in the right place.
I agree, get back to AA, a support group is so important to stay clean. Cravings can pop up out of nowhere so we always have to be ready for those times. Congrats on 209 days, that is fantastic:). Keep posting and hope the cravings have disappeared. There is a great health page about cravings in here posted by Cathy I think, check it out. Stay strong, your doing great.
I don't know how much alcohol you regularly consume but the detox lasts about 3 days and can be severe and dangerous. If you can get into a treatment facility it is advised because they provide medication to not only ease the symptoms but also vitamins, including B complex and potassium, because your body is surely depleated of these. Have you ever tried to detox on your own? Let me know what you are thinking......I want you to be safe AND I want you to be sober!
ladydi, did you quit drinking on your own or did you go to detox? I must quit drinking. if it is possible to do it at home without dieing from withdrawals. Do you know if that is possible
Today is better than yesterday. You are right, I don't want this! I need to keep my head busy with good things....going to a music banquet tonight with my daughter so I am focusing on that today. I think I will go to a morning meeting tomorrow...I really should go...THANK YOU
Don't give in to the cravings!! Go to a meeting or talk to me, you don't want this!!! ladydi4185
