So im on the treadmill which I haven't been on in a long time an a text message comes in from a friend that has 30 vics for sale. It took a mental hit but I said no and let him know I don't need them anymore.

Great job. I have this happen still 2day. They only seem to call when they have pills or heroin connection. I have an out of state connection that contacted me awhile ago. Economy must be tough all around!

Hi and congrats It's a good thing you were in your recovery and not living in your mental disease. When I got clean I kept dealing for a while,, It was my only source of income and my husband was in jail for 2nd. degree murder,, We were closely tied to the bikers of the Hell's Angles. Kinda hard to say no to. It was hand delivered to my house on several occasions and Yes I did cave Twice. But what I have learned is once you claim your recovery no one takes it away You give it away. Way to go.... Keep your recovery out in front of you at all times Good and Bad times Best wishes

Thanks all. It did feel good. I would have driven a half hour to get them and make up an excuse coming into work late. I'm so happy I don't have to do that anymore.

You did GREAT.... YOU MUST FEEL SO EMPOWERED.
I guess that's why they say throw away you agenda and address book when you're getting clean.

Wow, it must happen to alot of us, just a couple days ago, i received a text it read "20s are in" , I showed it to my b/f and we almost laughed! It felt SOOOOO good to just delete it. This woman was making a killing off of us and sometimes was so rude, but there we were every 3-4 days knocking on her door again and pretending to be nice! Ugh! I am so happy i do not EVER have to deal with her again! I let her know and she totally changed and was actually mad at us! lol now I can laugh at her! Good Job Danny! Keep up the good work,,,

Thanks it does feel good. He didn't know that I stopped but I did let him know. I doubt I'll be hearing from him

Does this friend know that you had quit? Good job turning them down, but you don't need that temptation even though your strong enough to say no. I hope he doesn't call again, it messes with the head. I had to get rid of those contacts and to this day I will take a detour instead of driving past a dealers house, crazy, but sometimes it was a trigger. Your doing great!

same thing happened to me....got the text saying just got back from the dr ......dont you feel good....i am proud of you...
