Any suggestions for help with withdrawal symptome especially fatigue

Hi I am an addict who was clean for a long time but last year my son was very ill....I turned to my old trusted friend/enemy to get me through...vicodin.  I have been taking them tow to two abd a half weeks at a time. I have been taking up to 7 ten mill a day and then because I run out and have to wait for the refill I deal with the withdrawal.  I told my husband today and am giving him the refill info so I can't refill them. I am terrified....I know this week especially will be hard. Actully I know that this will be hard forever...any suggestions on how to get through this pysically? Supplements that might help....I know the hardest part for me is the severe fatigue and depression that follows....I am so disappointed in myself I could scream. Anyone have an answer that I might not have heard before?

Good for you! Really...I have been on the same refill WD merry-go-round for some years and then where I live now YOU NEED NO PRESCRIPTION!! Not good for addicts and I went on 300mg of codeine a day for 2 years. In terms of the WD if you have done it before you probably know what people say. This time I found:
1. Reading the postings on this site the single most helpful thing!
2. Old rule of thumb which is easier said than done: When depressed: Stop drugs, Drink Water, Get lots of sun light, and exercise daily.

So I stopped drugs, didn't drink a lot of water but drank a lot of orange juice, sat in the sun (had to leave the house to do that), and then today (day 35 WD) I went for a fast walk with my dogs up and down hills for 1 hr. (VERY UNUSUAL THING FOR ME TO DO) (husband couldn't believe it). And it really really really helped.

Try not to beat yourself up about using again I really I mean that, if this was an easy thing to do it wouldn't be called an addiction.

First off how is your son? How did you get off the meds the first time? You know you have to do it sweetheart. Withdrawls are just part of recovery, We are all here for you just hang in there. Are you gonna go cold turkey or are you gonna taper and have your husband give them out to you? What is the game plan. Keep us informed and let us know how you are doing. We will all be right here for you all the way thru. You will be in my prayers
