This is tough, really tough

Hi there, its wannabfre2b, well, things arent so funny now, day number three, did not get a good night sleep, took motrin pm, didnt help much.  I got my thomas recipe items yesterday, am following it, im hoping the bathroom problems stop soon, might be the L-Tyrosine.  Part of me keeps screaming, go get a pill and you will feel better.  Im trying to be strong, when will i start feeling better, soon i hope.  Going to go try a swim this morning  then hot tub.    My husband is home now for the winter, and i have told him all about detox, and how hard it is to get off the pills, he was very understanding, and says he will be there for support, and you people are my most support, hope i can make it.  thanks

You can do this.  It is very tough but you have to be in control of you now, not your addiction.  Try and get up and move around as much as you can.  That should help keeping your mind busy also.  I am very happy to hear your husband is supportive.  That is always a big plus.  Take a look around at your life and write down all the things you have to be grateful for...You will be surprised to see how long that list is.     Stay strong   sara

days 3-4 were the worst for me. you'll be turning the corner soon. the bathroom thing will clear up soon enough. think of it as your body purging itself of all the built up toxins. just make sure you stay hydrated. i drank a glass of water on the hour every hour when i was withdrawing. i didn't use l-tyrosine but have heard that it can cause the runs....but only an hour or so after you take it, not throughout the day.

sounds like you have the support from your husband that you will definitely need. lucky you for having a hot tub. make good use of it. it will help so much. try not to get stressed out about bathroom and sleep issues. you have to keep a positive attitude. yes, they can be annoying, but they will pass soon enough.

resist that little devil sitting on your shoulder that tells you one pill will make all this go away. if you want to get through this and get clean, you can't give in! that one pill will put you right back in the situation you're in. you've come to far to jeopardize that now!

hang in there. the worst is almost over physically. make sure you set up some type of aftercare so you don't ever have to go through this nightmare again!

Hello :)
It is tough, really tough, but you can do it!  Maybe you could try some Melatonin for sleep.  If you really want the bathroom stuff to stop soon you could take some Immodium.  That sounds great that you can go for a swim and then hot tub this morning, that should help tremendously!  And your hubby for support - you WILL make it!

This is day number 4 right?  You should start feeling better soon.  I know how you feel about getting a pill and feeling better.  Even now Heck this d a mn arm hurts all the time.  My back hurts all the time ... my wrists ... ugh.  Its H e ll getting old isn't it.  I think the same thing.  A pill would make it feel better.  But NO!!!  I just don't want to be a part of that.  I take Ibuprofen and I live with that.  There are just too many bad side effects that go along with the vicodin.

Hang in there girlfriend.  You're doing great now and you're almost done with the worst of it.
