Time passing recommendation for those battling insomnia

Hi Friends,

I know that during my numerous detox stints I was always trying to occupy myself through the night and while I am an avid reader, sometimes I just wanted to do something else. I recently subscribed to Netflix so I could watch the BBC/Netflix original series "The Fall" and it is SOOO good! There have only been 2 seasons thus far but the episodes are captivating and I cannot stop watching them and since I work and have kids I watch them well into the night and early morning. And I know I am behind the times and most people probably have Netflix, but I didn't and I love it!! It is so inexpensive (I pay $8/month and that allows you to watch on two devices) and so easy to use. I login to the app on my IPad and can lay in bed and watch HD episodes, etc.  So, just a suggestion and a definite recommendation for The Fall to anyone who likes crime type dramas.

I have never heard of Rocky but that does not surprise me since I am not the most tech savvy, even for a Gen Xer. Sounds awesome, going to check it out!!!

Krissy, I have had a few of those dreams and they are always about Oxy versus the Percocet.  Sometimes they seem so real. Keep up the awesome work!

FYI,  I finished The Fall today and it is one of the best shows I have ever seen. The finale left me a bit baffled though. ..we will see!

Roku is a device that streams the web on the television, I'd assume they can be used anywhere in the world that has wifi. We have a wifi unit that feeds the roku, computer, phones. You don't get local channels, weather, etc..., unless you buy them, but you get plenty, imo.

If you buy a Roku box, you can buy netflix through it, then you also get free BBC, Democracy Now!, PBS, Amazonmovies, and a lot more. We have files of  Documentaries and educational as well as entertainment shows for the price of internet and netflix, but we did have to pay $50 for the Roku receiver. Pandora is on Roku too, so we listen to music with the tele.

How are you?? So good to see you doing so well. I LOVE Netflix now, I wish I had it during detox. Check out The Fall when you need a new show.  I am going to have to start The Walking Dead next, so many of my friends love it!! Good to hear from you and enjoy your show tomorrow!

Hahahaha I totally did the netflix thing too! I watched every epi of "the walking dead" (I'm really into the zombie shows" I usually read ALOT! I remember through detox I couldn't though,I couldn't get my brain to slow down to concentrate enough to look at the pages. So "the walking dead got me through that really bad week and a half. Now I wait every week until Sunday to watch my epi of TWD. lol. I totally agree on getting netflix for detox!! :))
