That is great to hear.  I am starting day 6 and I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  However I know it is going to be staying clean that will be harder than getting clean.  Hopefully we can all support each other to just that.  For the first time I am looking forward to experiencing everything in life with no fake border...the highs and the lows of real life.  Scary but real and real is better.

Hi there, may you be blessed with a new journey you are about to take upon. Sounds like you are very serious about staying clean. I hope that you have an action plan for the future, an action plan to block the cravings and anxiety as sometimes those demons like to dance on our shoulders at times we do not expect them to be there, but its life. Do you have an aftercare program that you attend? or a great support system? I am sure you do, but always be on your toes!! Its day 51 for me after a 23 year addiction to opiates and benzo's. I attend an Intensive Outpatient Program  and before that I admitted myself to a 30 day inpatient treatment program. Detox was pure hell, as I expected it to be. I dont think there is a very comfy and cozy way to detox, and I use that as a reminder before I even put myself into a stinking thinking mode. Remind yourself too of your early days of detoxing, as this can be a useful tool to stay clean and focused on your recovery. Wishing you the best and thank you for your words of encouragement. This is the last day of my addiction.  I have been tapering off oxys for quite some time and then switched over to percs.  Then I tapered off them and have 3 pills for today.  Tomorrow is my first day clean and I made sure I didnt have any options for getting more.  Thanks for the inspiration!

WAY TO GO!!!!

Thats amazing, did you taper down or go cold turkey? How much were you using? Just curious as I'm doing 5 oxy 20's a day and am going ct from that on Monday.

Keep it up, I can't wait to be posting my clean time :)
