I am really glad you posted.....I was worried about you girl....Sounds like you have many at work that care about you too. That would be scary for everyone involved. You know how to get ahold of me if you want to talk. Just take care of yourself and keep getting better. hugs to you sara
thank you for your responses. I feel fine now but it was the scariest thing Ive ever been through. I think it really scared the people at my work too who saw me. They keep calling and emailing and texting me. Anyway, I feel much better and I think it was the wake up call I needed. Thank you Sara & addict for your words
Thanks! That was a LONG time ago, but it still feels like yesterday. I never felt anything off Tram but I was bound and determined to try and look where it got me! I just hope others learn from our mistakes with pills so they don't have to go through what a lot of us have went through!
ima,
That is sooooo scary I am just gald you are OK people don't realize what this drug has the potential to do ...
I am glad you are okay too. This tramadol gets scarier by the day.........sara
I took Tramadol (3 of them) while in active addiction (Norco) and something bad happened to me. Still not sure what it was, but I was on the phone with my mom (at work) and the next thing I know I'm getting up from the floor. The phone was dangling from my desk, with my mom screaming into it on the other end. I had a knot on my head and I don't remember any of our conversation at all and barely remember anything after I picked myself off the floor. I have NEVER touched that **** since, and when I told my mom what happened, she got rid of the trams she had (my mom is not an addict in case you were wondering..LOL!).
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about the relapse and the trip to the hospital. You are in the right place and talking about it can only benefit your future sobriety. Hopefully your roommate will get the help she needs and you both can lean on each other for support. Try not to let her influence you if she refuses to quit though! And if push comes to shove, maybe an ultimatum is in order. Good luck and keep us posted!
If you want to clean up you have to get rid of your stash. We are here to help but you have to want the help first. Avis spoke the truth about tramadol and she has alot of info and experience. We are here for you if you want the help.........sara
I am so sorry to hear what happened studiogirl but am really glad you are okay. I know this will be your wake up call. I think you are really going to have to make some changes in your living arrangements. You and your sobriety are whats important. Keep us posted on how you are doing.........hugs to you sara
glad you are o.k.and don't worry about what other people think just learn from your mistake and move on please be careful and take care
snowflake
thank you all. craig - I know you are right and I need to get her out of my life because she is trouble. I guess this was the wake up call I needed. I feel ridiculous because everyone at work is saying "was she on something?", etc.. I feel like they are all talking about me
Plz dont take this the wrong way but if she's a true friend, She woulda seen the hell and the fight u went through to get clean and wouldnt even brought that stuff around you. Im just glad your both ok and hopefully you both stay clean and for pete's sake be careful lol :) .... Craig

WOW! That is such a scary story.... Ive heard of it happening to people but everytime I hear it it freaks me out.. I took trams or ultracet once and a while during the in-betweens.. and I do recall taking a lot at once.. thought they were so safe.. OMG.. People really need to know about these real life stories. Thank you for posting this and I am glad you are ok. So sorry it happened to you though. Hang in there and feel better!
She may have never seen it but we have a had a few here that have seized while coming off of tram. One of the members was in WD and had a seizure in the middle of thanksgiving dinner so it happens.Tramadol is nothing to play around with .Heroin is even worse .What recovery care are you getting.
