Update and ramblings of an ex-tram-addict

Well... I have wanted to do an update for a couple of days so here go's... - day 38

This is indeed an insideous drug - I think that when the long term WD's kick in (the mental part) then it really hits you where ever you are most vulnerable. I read many posts from people telling that they have no energy and find themselves just crashing on the couch or in the bed sleeping all the time and I experience the opposite. From day one I cut out bad eating habbits and started eating correct - lots of fruits, vegetables and meat - less carb's... Furthermore I began exercising 3 times a week and here 5½ weeks out I have all the energy I need.. I fall a sleep fast and wake up 6 am every morning withlout exception....... This may sound great to some but for me it is actually a very odd place to be.

I have never been that active at all and have always used sleep as comfort and a way to pass time as well as my computer and television... Now it is like re-learning those skills again and it seems impossible because of my new lifestyle. At least I hope it is the lifestyle..

I have never been that social and don't have a social network as such and suddenly I find my self missing that part in my life... It all adds up to my biggest obstacle with regards to WD - day to day seems so very odd.. don't have flow... am starting however to be more out there and seeking social events but still miss that one single friend I can play PS3 with or watch Dancing With the Stars... something... anything..

My relationship got back on track which is a real blessing :o) no doubt the first month of WD was made worse by the turmoil.

Life is god - Life is BLAHH - and life is so very weird... Often I wish I lived in the US with all of you so I could establish some real IRL contact with you girls and guys..

Well - it is a brand new life and it must take time to get re-introduced to one self

You've done awesome! Changing your lifestyle is so important and I really need to follow your lead with the exercise / healthy eating. Those IRL relationships and friendships will happen naturally, especially if you keep up with the salsa dancing and getting out and being social. Go to the gym. Go to the park. Get out and make yourself be social. I'm so happy that your relationship is mending with your GF and that you're learning to find inner peace and happiness. You've been such a big cheerleader for us all and we sure do love you around here! Cheers my friend!

I am so happy you have all the energy and drive you need, I'm so happy your relationship is back in the mix, Amazing my friend. I can't believe you miss sitting on your *** playing PS3 and watching dancing with the stars, that made me laugh, so funny!

Here's to relearning ourselves and moving forward Molly, finding new social activities will help you more than you know mate, well done!

Ps, you will always have time for gaming, lmao..
