This gives me hope, as I am tapering down off Subs. Thank you for these posts. They give me the hope that I am desperately seeking. Congrats on your clean time.

Amazing update! 58 days is fantastic! I'm at day 50 and I agree about the 90% (maybe 95% some days:)! Congrats to you and your hard earned clean time and a rough month or so is soooo worth the result. Always keep your guard up and keep coming back and updating!

Well today is day 58! Feeling so much better...about 90%. Excersing, sleeping , eating and much more optimistic about my future. Still having thoughts of relapse popping in my mind but suppressing them by thinking of the hell I went through to get to day 58. This is the longest I've been w/o some type of opiate/sub in 13 yrs. god what I would do to get that time back...and money lol. For those of you out there that are in your single digit days, keep your head up!!! It is very possible to beat this! I know I'm not completely out of the woods but I can see the light. Ill help anyway possible!

Thank you happy days! I've come to find out that getting clean Is easy in comparison to staying clean. I haven't relapsed but I think about about it everyday. I know it takes a while for the brain to reset but anyway I think I'll be ok.

Im not gonna sugar coat it for you, it was very difficult for me but everyone is different. I've heard stories that ppl felt better after a week with minimal WD. It took 14 days before I started feeling ANY better. I can tell you that activity really helps. Start out with short walks. Hot showers help incredibly!  But listen this is completely doable. Try to stay positive and surround yourself with positive ppl. Negativity and stress will drive you right back. Congrats on you decision. I will help you out any way I can. Good luck and stay positive.

I just joined and read your struggles. I'm glad you made it. This is day 1 for me after 16mgs a day for 3 years. I taped but only off one film, I made it last for four days. I'm scared, because want I want back most is my motivation. After so long on the subs it seems to me they slowly took my motivation away. God I hope we get that back. So how long and how hard of a ride am I in for? By the way congads to you.

Hi nurse girl, sorry I vanished for a while. I became withdrawn from all social media and from most people. I'm on day 43 w/o subs. I feel heck of a lot better than I did when I originally posted. Pains are gone, sleeping 8hrs a night. Eating well. Still having some depression and a lack of motivation. Still very proud of myself but curious how long til I'm 100%. I think it's mostly mental bc I've depended on pills for so long for energy and motivation. It took a long time to become addicted and I understand it doesn't happen overnight and everyone is different.

4mg is a pretty high dose to come off, that's why your symptoms are pretty intolerable.  I would recommend looking up the Thomas recipe, and really, you just have to give it time.  Sub w/d can stick around longer than that of other opiates.

What kind of "work" have you done on the recovery aspect of your sobriety?  The last thing you would want is to relapse, which is not uncommon for people who just took the sub without any kind of aftercare.

Hang in there!!  Hope you turn a corner soon!

I was on them for about 4 yrs and my last dose was 4mg. Just curious how long this will last. I can function but it takes every bit of energy I have to get up and move around.

Sorry you're struggling.

How long were you on the subs and what dose did you come off of?
