Day 8

Wow, I had a pretty great day. Overall symptoms including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual have all subsided today.  More energy, less aches, less depression and feeling more connected.  Woke after a solid 9 hours of sleep....I had dreams... a little rough getting going but once I did I began to feel better.  Drank a large glass of water, vitamins, and coffee... was ready to go.

Honestly the cravings have been a little there...because I am feeling better and my mind tells me "See it wasn't that bad, it will different this time". Lies all lies.  I went to a meeting after work and that made me feel amazing, I laughed and felt so connected to others in the rooms...for the first time in a long time.

Anyway looking forward to the weekend and hit that double digit mark for the first time in years!!!  Going to go for a walk tonight and enjoy time with my girlfriend.

If you are struggling, it will get better.  I have been in the darkest and most painful of places with this mess....and thought that I was resigned to being on these damn pills for the rest of my life....

I'm so grateful that I gave myself a chance and moved through the pain... Today is a good day, tomorrow may not be BUT I know that this is all doable.  I will continue to ask for help. Walk through the fear. Walk through the fear. Walk through the fear.

Nothing I can say that you don't already know.  Freedom is awesome, and you got it the old-fashioned way; "You earned it". Congratulations!   One thing you may not know is how wonderful it is for us, to witness your success.  There's still work to do but take a moment and give yourself a well deserved pat on the back.
