Warning: Heroin laced with Fentanyl/elephant tranquilizers

Hi I hope this is the right place to post this.  I just heard on the radio that 8 people have been found dead, the result of Heroin, laced with elephant tranquilizer.  I tried to find something about it, found this article

Oh God Corey, your story breaks my heart.  I am so very very sorry.
Addiction is so awful.  Why do people think death won't happen to them?
They act invincible just like a child who knows no better.
I am very afraid of this new configuration of Heroin and Fentanyl and then the elephant tranquilizer which is 10K times stronger than Heroin.
In Ohio there is a picture of a couple who over dosed in their car with a 4 year old in the backseat.  I had no idea I would be looking at these people dead, the child's face is blurred.  I think they chose to post this to get the message across.
They were brought back to life, but imagine what their 4 year old went through!
I'm so afraid.  Kids can do something that takes a second and kills or maims them for the rest of their lives.

I never ever in a million years thought herion would destroy our family we are a middle class family we never wanted for anything my brother said the high was like heaven my poor mom would lay in front of the door beg my brother not to leave I remember that night my mom calling saying he has the PlayStation he wants togo I said get him on the phone I said you better not sell that PlayStation he said Cor I swear I'm not next thing my sister banging on my door next morning saying he is gone my son standing at the stairs screaming no me saying your a lair don't say that driving to my moms work I also work there telling her that her baby is died she fell to the ground her fragile body of 85 lbs she lost so much weight God help us and every family that has togo through this.

I was first alerted to this by AOL I heard that 15 people died in one week in CT. I have family there and it really hit me.  At the time it was the fentanyl being added to the heroin, now it is this killer drug.
They say one speck in the eye can kill.  I am so sad

I know that many people say that others will think, oh a better high, no this is die.  No one knows where this poison will show up, it could be in the heroin. before the dealer gets it.  I am very afraid of what is happening.
One dealer said, ah so 5 die, there are 100 lined up. Sick, I am just sick!!!

I lost my brother to heroin overdose this October will be 2 years he has been gone heroin doesn't have a face anymore it Kells our children our mothers our fathers it is so scary my cousin introduced my brother to heroin but she is 10 years older I have a hard time forgiving her and she is still an active user in Cincinnati that has been 234 overdoses to heroin I pray for everyone that is addicted to this horrible evil drug and any other drugs

This August, at least 96 heroin users overdosed in one devastating, brutal week in just one county in Ohio. It's believed that they were victims not only of their addictions to heroin, but of a synthetic opioid that some dealers are adding to the narcotic to give it an even more powerful – and completely deadly – kick: Carfentanil.
Carfentanil is the most potent commercial opioid in the world, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. It is 10,000 times stronger than morphine, and at least 100 times more powerful than its analog, the opioid fentanyl, which was linked to Prince's untimely death. Carfentanil's only officially recognized use is to sedate large zoo animals like moose, buffalo and elephants. It takes just two milligrams of Carfentanil to knock out a 2,000-pound African elephant, and the veterinarians who administer the drug use gloves and face masks to prevent exposure to it, because a dose the size of a grain of salt could kill a person – and may be lethal even when absorbed through the skin.

This ins't about getting a better high, this is where you die.  I am sorry, this saddens me to think that all of these people are dying.

I have a recovering heroin addict that works for me.  He always says that if he and his fellow addicts heard someone od'd they all wanted that batch cause they new it was strong, especially if someone died.  That's how sick the addiction gets

The new part is that fentanyl which is 50 times stronger than heroin is being put in to heroin.  Also cartenfil the (ELEPHANT) animal tranquilizer, it is 100 times stronger than fentanyl
It is being manufactured in China and Mexico.
They are saying they have not seen this before.  Almost as if the dealers are trying to kill their customers. Something the size of a snowflake can kill.

Gosh Sarah, I did not know it.  It really scares.  You don't know what you are getting.  The 15 people who died were in CT.  I mean I know drugs can kill but to put something in it to kill is something else entirely.

There is also a synthetic fentanyl out there now that is killing people.  Prince died of this.

I am just shocked that all these people are dying by their fellow man.  It really touched me.

This is so horrible!! It is so scary the amount of people that are addicted to Heroin in general, but it's really really scary that when you purchase a drug such as this off the street, or meth or cocaine or whatever, you never know what is in it or used to make it or whatever! It's even more terrible that people would lace it with stuff just because they are greedy, and not care about the human life. It's just disgusting to me! Not that you can't die from any type of prescription drug overdose, but the "street pharmacists" are just horrible. The youngest victim was 16...that is just so sad and frightening!
