I contacted an addiction counseling agency today to start going to counseling once a week.

to get basic info. They will or should do what is called a Needs Assessment to find out what type of counseling or even counselor would be good for you. More that likely, they will give u a physical and a TB test. Ask a lot of questions about your history (Hx) want to know what type of meds you take by Rx and what your addiction is. Should take bout an hour.
