Withdrawal 3rd day oxy

I'm on my 3rd day off withdrawal.
I'm 25 year old male living with my girlfriend with a steady job.
Decided to quit because I could see what I was turning into around the people I love.
I'm in a very depressed state at the moment.
Cannot stop crying and feel horrible.
I have quit before, but this is the worst I have felt.
Any tips to accelerate the process of withdrawals?
I am very eager to give up, i could see my girlfriend of 3 years breaking up with me if I didn't quit.

Thanks everyone!

Day 4 and feeling a lot better than yesterday.
Have a family get together tonight, my WHOLE family will be there..
I have confidence I'll be fine.

Family doesn't mine a wine or 6 so might have a couple of those, can't hurt.

Thanks again :)

You are doing great! The more you exercise the better you will feel!! You really should be turning the corner from the physical stuff soon but you can't forget to,work on the, mental stuff either... The stuff that got you into this boat!! Deal with it and put it behind you. Also u may wanna look into finding meetings near you where you will be amid people who have been there and done that... STAY HYDRATED ...your doing good by drinking lots of water... Hang in there and KNOW that you are giving yourself the best gift of all.
P.S. Quit beating yourself up over things you can't change... All u can do now is make TODAY better than yesterday...

Just wanted to lend my support to you!!!!  You are doing great.  I strongly believe in getting some kind of excercise in for those endorphins!!!   I know it's hard.  But once you get it done it feels great!!  Hope it went well telling your girlfriend!! Let us know how you are doing hon.  Oh and you are so young (25)!!!  I think the longer you stay on these pills the harder it is in our bodies.  Great job on getting off so early.  We are here to support you!!!!

Just went for a jog, jeez, building up the steam to do that was gaaaa!!
But I feel a little better, just hot and sweaty.

I'lll focus my goal to friday then. A week without it!
Just a tad nervous about telling my gf this evening..

Thanks again man, heaps of help.

well I went to bed and can't sleep, well not yet anywho, lol. So I have reheated my Indian takeout from last night, a lovely 7.30am snack, it's just so nice!

Though I would pop in here to see how you are doing. I am happy you are keeping a positive attitude and trying to concentrate on how tomorrow will be, the one thing I would suggest is try fixate on this coming Friday, just think if I can make it till then and I will feel good. That way you stop watching the clock as much, you just got to roll with it my friend. The toilet troubles are a big conversation piece on here, we all went through it, it's ***** for sure, if you can get hold of some Imodium that will help you, As Barb said Imodium is one of our best friends during detox, lol. Take your time with them though, you don't need as many as you think and drop them as soon as you can, they are a great help though, honestly, ;)

Keep it up my friend, you got this, keep posting for advice/support/giggles or whatever, we are here to help you so use us!

Yes, I only have a couple of beers in the fridge anyway :)
And alcohol has never been a problem, it's those bloody oxy's.
Think I have almost drunk a river of water today, going to the loo every 20 mins! Could have kept that to myself.
I have a feeling today will be the worst day of it.

Just hard to comprehend time at the moment, weeks would fly by on the oxy's but day 3 of withdrawal seems like months!

Have to say the people on this website are making it a whole lot easier mentally.

Thanks

Magnesium tablets, and Epsom salt baths can help some. Also, if you're not sensitive, an antihistamine. Protein drinks can help with energy.
You're already doing one of the best things by getting out of bed, moving about like you did cleaning out the car. I sure didn't leave my bed week 1. Big mistake.

Exersize, will help restless legs, but mostly it will help get your natural endorphins going. You're emotions will be all over the place, but you know that I guess. One thing is, don't think bad thoughts about yourself! Think positive. The biggie is you're young, and realized you want to reclaim your life. That's huge! Life passes by quickly. You don't want to wake up thirty years from now wishing you'd stopped this time, ya know?
Grab the bull by the horns, you can't change the past, but you can change the future. Focus on that.

Keep posting for support. We care pretty deeply in here!

Hey Sivii, a couple of beers should be ok, as long as its only a couple, I have trouble with my shut off switch so I try avoid having to many, if I step over the line it all goes blurry and there's no holding me back you know. Your still only very early in so please go easy on yourself, you thought process will be out of whack even if you think its not, so just take your time. I cant see it hurting anything though as long as drink isn't a problem to start with, I'm guessing not or you would have just hid it, ;)

The thing that helped the time pass faster for me was talking to people on here, watching funny re-runs/shows, Youtube (is a life saver for me) and music. I used to sit with my headphones planted on my head for hours on end with the music full blast just to get out my head for a while, it does help! I wish I had better advice but as you already know there isn't a magic answer, its just a process we all go through. You just have to dig your feet into the dirt and refuse to back down.

Take your time my friend, a couple cant hurt, that's a couple, x2, lol.

Thanks so much.
Minutes feel like hours at the moment.
Last time I quit I told my whole family and went 3 months.
Forgetting how bad it was I got back into it.
Just enjoyed being happy all the time. Then when my tolerance was high I wasn't really happy at all. Just happy to get more if I ran out.
Would you recommend having a couple of beers tonight? Or will that just prologue it?

Thanks a lot for this.
I'm very shivery, hot and cold.
Emotional, hugely regretful, angry with myself.
Took a multi-v swisse tablet this morning, drinking plenty of vitamin water and water.
Trying to keep occupied, just went and cleaned my car.
Was hard but made me forget about it for a moment.
Might go for a ride on my bike soon..

Once again, thank you everyone.

I want to reiterate what Digger said about water. You can't drink enough right now. You're probably slightly dehydrated and don't even know it.
Water ( and immodium ) are our best friends during detox.

If you're on your third day, you should be turning the corner soon, with the physical stuff. What are your worst symptoms right now?
I'm with you on weed. For me it would make me think to much!
Your emotions are coming back. They have been masked by the pills.
First things first, congrats on deciding to stop!!
And what are you dealing with physically right now?

Hey, if I were you I would let my girlfriend see me take the fight to the pills instead of the other way round, you need to start really pushing yourself physically, you are lucky still being young enough to do this. Exercise your ar$e off, that's what got everything to slide away much quicker for me, going for long walks in the fresh air helps so much too. Just don't sit about its the worst thing you can do. I know it's hard with no drive but once you start you actually enjoy the feeling you get from it. Get angry with it if needs be, push ups, sit ups and pull ups. An exercise bike helps so much with RLS and gets rid off it much faster if you can get hold of one.

Force yourself to eat, anything healthy will do for now, as much as you can. This will bring your appetite back so much faster. Water, water, water don't stop drinking, always have a glass near you. You will become very dehydrated if you don't so make sure you are doing that my friend.

The Thomas Recipe at the bottom of the page is packed with great tips on supplements and advice too, so have a good read through that.

These 4 things combined will pull you out the hole quicker than you can imagine, and your girlfriend will just love to see you shine through with fire in your heart, what you got to loose my friend, go for it. Well done on breaking free from pills, I wish you all the luck in the world.

I also have an amazing family that cares for me.
I haven't told anyone about the addiction. So hiding w/d symptoms is really hard. I just say "I think I'm coming down with something".
Need to turn my life around.
Wasting it for too long.
