suboxone question

well i messed up again. I got myself clean back in september and stayed off pills for over a month was feeling great and then like an idiot started dabbiling again thinking i could keep it under control(big mistake) be fore you knew it i was back using everyday. the question i have is i was using about 3-4 30mg pills a day for about 2 months, i got some suboxones off someone aprrox. five of them, i was told that they would help my withdrawals, to take small amounts of it only when im really hurting. I have work off til Monday, would it be better for me to not touch anything or to use the 5 subs that i have to help with the withdrawals, i dont want it to prolong my withdrawals, cause i feel like im still using by taking the subs, is the opiate getting out of my system if im taking the subs too??

I just want to clarify I am not a doctor and wouldn't want to give any bad advice that would hurt you. I only know how my doctor said to take it. If you haven't had any more wds I wouldn't take anymore and just deal with whats left of your withdrawal. You will not have to start over though.  It's diff than taking more hydro/perc/oxy whatever you were taking. Maybe you could go see your doc and ask him about it. Good luck.

so taking that lil piece of the sub after 16 hrs clean(if i dont take any more of it) didnt set me back?? where i have to basically start all over again??

I to used Subs to get off a hydro habit last jan. Lots of people told me I didn't need it but the wds were making me crazy so I did what I thought was best for me. My doc wrote me a script for 16 because I was only going to take them for a short time. He said 2 weeks, I was thinking more like 3 days so I only got half of it filled. They stay in your system longer so you do not need as much. He told me to take the whole 2mg but I only took half which 1/4 would have been plenty but didn't know at the time. The next day I took the 1/4 and then no more after that. It made me throw up bad every hour but it did make all the other wds go away. I am sensitive to opiates and take phenagren for the nausea but it didn't help with the sub. I didn't have any other wds at all. I didn't use them any longer because I figured the first 3 days were the worst for me and the subs would stay in my system that long and I could handle whatever wds were left after that.  If you do take it do not take it for more than a few days and take less each time you do.You do not want a sub habit, very very hard to come off of. (so I have read) Again this is only my opinion and what worked for me. Everyone is different. In was very scared of subs because of what I read on here so I only wanted to take enough to get by. Hope your able to get clean and stay that way. I am on day 2 again for the upteenth time and am not having any wds because I don't do it everyday but hopefully I can stay clean this time. I am going to go into a aftercare program this time. You should look into NA if you can. Everyone on here recommends it and they have stayed clean so I am guessing they know what there talking about. We always think we can handle it then we end up back on it and back to square one. Let me know how it goes.

All I am saying is that not what Suboxone was designed for. It is a complete program and it is dangerous to take it and not follow protocol on it.

You don't know how to take it and it appears you didn't do any research on it. That is dangerous.

I want to see you make it this time and I think you are looking for an easy way out. Trust me, we all are when it comes to detoxing. But there is no easy way. I think you learned that the last time.

If you want to go on the Suboxone program, then do it right. Do it under a doctor's care and get the usually required counseling so you can learn how to get your life back.

I don't want to see anything happen to you. Besides 16 hours was great, a few more days and you can put this behind you.

great i was clean for 16hrs and took a quarter piece of a sub when i stated feeling bad, which did make me fel much better, so your sayin now i have to basically start all over?? Isnt it better then doing the pills though??  well if it doesnt help then ill flush the rest down the toilet, please let me know what to do??

I think you are a fool if you take the Suboxone you bought off the street. That is not a drug to fool around with and that is not what it is intended for. It is not used for withdrawal.

You have been through withdrawal before. Buckle down and get 'er done! this time, you are going to need to make changes to be certain you stay clean.

You'll have opiates in your system if you take the Sub.  Really,I wouldn't do it. So,don't touch it. Get all the stuff you'll need. Just chill and stay home...You know the drill. We'll be here for questions...
