addicted and trying

i am a opiate/heroin addict and have been for the past 3 years.I never realized how bad my addiction was until i found myself outside looking in.i went from taking about 10 30mg roxicets to doing about 20-30 bags of heroin a day. it has been 3 months since i touched any heroin and i have wenned myself from 10 pills a day to about 2. when i wake up i need one and when i go to sleep. I am awaiting a bed for detox due to my iv drug addiction i caught hepititis c and need liver scans all kinds of **** for the detox but i know in the end it is worth it. this morning instead of taking any pills i took a suboxen and i feel great. i never tryed any other option for my addiction but the drug itself and i feel normal and i haven't felt normal in a long time

I was in the clinical trial at Mayo Clinic that established the current interferon/ribavarin therapy for HCV ..... and I have managed to have any dope problem that you can come up with. The point is, that was 13 yrs ago - the therapy worked - and even though there is some liver damage I am still up and running........and I am doing it without narcotics or such.....maybe a smoke once in awhile... but it can be done. you can both quit, get clean, and be healed.  Become as knowledgeable as you possibly can .... read and research....and dont give up!!   Best of luck to you....I am always available PM....
