I don't know how to go about picking therapist but do think I need one. Any ideas?

Hey nonights! Good morning! Do you have a primary care doctor that you see? How about insurance? If so, you will probably want to try to see a therapist that is covered by your insurance. I would ask your doctor for a referral to a good one. Other than that, you can just do a search of addiction counseling in your city and see what pops up. It's really hard to tell if you will 'click' with a therapist until you've had a chance to speak with them and see how the 2 of you interact. No worries though. You can always move on to someone else if it's not a good fit. Proud of you for looking into this. I think it's an awesome idea!
