Christmas Roll Call

This roll call is only 3 weeks apart, but I wanted to post one again before the new year starts. We are giving ourselves the best Chritmas present by being clean. I quit drugs 2 years ago, with a few relapses since I found medhelp, which for me is good because I used to relapse every week and feel I have come a long way. Even though I quit coke and other drugs, that past 2 christmas's I got drunk or close, playing poker with my cousins, but that won't happen this year, no substance is ok for me to use.

Brag away about your clean time, even if it's a day clean. We are all in this together and together we will win:)

I am 156 days clean and not looking back. Congrats to everyone here, we help each other so much and it's amazing. Brag away everyone.

Christmas Eve will be 11 months off of the OC that I took for 8+ years.  Currently a little over 7 months off the smokes.  

WOW  what a year.  2009 has been, by far, the most difficult year of my life, but also, by far, the most rewarding.  Still getting better, a little at a time.  This will happen in God's time, not mine.

To anyone out there thinking of quiting, please do it now.  Recovery is possible.  Your life is worth so much, please dont allow drugs to deprive you of even one more day.

will have to check the show ticker box so i can see how many days i am  now lol. I think 150+ though. From hydro.  Doing good for the most part. no cravings, no severe depression. Just have chronic pain issues still but pushing through.

Congratulations to every one! I hope nobody lends up in the hospital with a broken arm patting our selves on the back. We only have this day clean. I went back out after nineteen years and believe me it’s a lot easier staying clean and sober than getting clean & sober. From my experience thinking I had this thing licked kicked my *** for 4 years and I made it back and now it’s just today that’s it all we have is today.

hanging tight and lost count of my clean time!  happens after a while...perhaps i will show my ticker if it will come up..if not ...2 years in February..this I know..Feb 6th

For those struggling for their 90 days of clean time...it is a great goal to reach///...and those past their 90 days of clean time... always remember we have to be safe..and keep moving forward

Congrats to my new fellow friends survivors, warriors  or whatever we chose to call ourselves.  I am at day 8, looking forward to a peaceful night of rest.  Looking moreso to Wednesday..just another day, a gift given to me.  A day I will hug my husband and boys tighter. A day that I will drive past drs offices and pharmacies, and NOT give them a second glance:):)  I will give thanks, and be compassionate.  You never know what may be hiding behind th sunglasses on the mom in the grocery line, or at the library...now i find myself wondering, is she ok?  I say a quiet prayer that she does not face this battle of addiction, but if she does, I ask The Lord to guide me to her, and pray with her, let her know she is not alone  None of us are alone!  There are strength in numbers.  I do not know any of you in person, but you will be in my prayers..tonight and every night.. Sleep well my friends  xoxox

I'm five days clean from the a huge hydro habit last week tues I took up 53 10/325 mg tabs my daily dose was about 250-300mg per day for about 4 months, but was using for about 2 years everyday non stop.  Five days and I feel pretty good today, have some energy without the pills and was able to clean my house today. Depression has diminished to almost null and I'm looking forward to Christmas being clean and sober. Today I canceled a new script of 80 count hydro's and I feel real proud!! Thanks to everyone here for the support Love ya all!! Have a merry Christmas and we can make it through, keep pushing through grab all the strength you have and keep posting!! We need to hear all the success stories, I need to know there is light at the end of this dark road!!

Hi Gizzy i am 197 clean days of HEROIN that was and still is a struggle but wont go back as i know in my own mind that i will only ever move forward God willing
I am also 39 days clean from cocaine but that was not as big a problem as the HEROIN probably because i was not using the cocaine that long it was the amounts of cocaine that got me so down and depressed i could not even smile but thins are better now

Yes its me now Gizzy. I too am 197 days clean of Heroin and all other drugs (apart from my normal pain meds, which i must take). On Christmas day it will be 200 days yee ha. I never went 200 mins before never mind 200 days. It was unimaginable 1yr ago. I also want to say to anyone even on 1 day congrats to you too, its a start and if we can do it anyone can, as if you look through our journals we went toe to toe with the devil himself and WON. We still have to be on guard everyday but we keep it up at all times. We had a big habit for 13yrs so i promise anyone who is going through w/ds just now it can be done. I know just now you will feel awful believe me i know. I was one of the unlucky ones who also got rls in my arms, so it was even worse but we got through it and it is so so worth it. I have a different life now. One i enjoy not worrying everyday were we would get our next bag from or how to get the money to buy it. I can smell the grass, the flowers, taste my food. I laugh now. I enjoy waking up in the morning.Now I HAVE A LIFE. Yes you ll get a sudden craving from nowhere but fight it and it will go. Post on here every 5mins if it helps, there will always be someone here to help. This place was a godsend to us that i had stumbled upon by accident, i was actually looking up my illness. But i believe it was fate as it had saved our lives. Although we have never injected heroin it was still killing us from the inside out and would probably be dead or near dead if it wasn't for everyone on this amazing site. So stick with it and if your determined enough, it will happen, i promise you that. We are living proof that it can be done. Good luck yo everyone and wish you all a merry Christmas .
