thanks for chiming in AH6767....you are PROOF that it CAN be done...thank you.
I was on Sub for a little over 5 months and have been off now for about a month and a half. I started at 32mgs taperd down to 1mg and jumped off. The only symptoms I had were some minor aches, yawning, stomach grumbling and fatigue. These symptoms were in no way as severe as comming off oxy CT. In fact they were very very mild. The fatigue was the toughest to deal with for me but I was able to keep myself going with lots coffee and redbull.
Thanks for the info., I was really starting to get worried. I will do exactly what the doctor tells me to.
I am still on sub, but have heard people on here that did a long slow taper and had very minor withdrawal. When you get down to very low dose, ask your doctor for the 2mg pills. Then start breaking those in 1/4 , then 1/8 etc.. It will be much easier than dealing with the 8mg pills. Don't freak out. Just take it real slow and you should be fine.
if you do it low and slow...withdrawals should be mild...but nothing is withdrawal free hun...and remember, you dont know the whole story of others taper plan...and if your referring to "the dangers of suboxone posts"...pay no attention to them...they are posted out of spite, and i already checked the stories out...they are bogus. they were written about buprenex which is the injectable form of buprenorphine and they died because they injected it with sedatives...the story was written in 2002 before doctors were even allowed to prescribe suboxone or subutex...bogus story....
just really go as low and as slow as you can...do not rush it...
i am sending you a private message, watch for it...
