thanx to all for responding. just had to quit.. priorities were all f-up, i was living for those dam pills. just put em in the trash man. the sickness does hurt, but there are lots of things you can do to help ease it. no doubt you are gonna go through it. but you be ok just try and stay positive. the worst part for me is the irritability!!! at this point. ( day 11). it also helps to get real with your friends and family.
How did you make your mind up to quit? Did you run out or make a plan? Thats what Im finding the hardest part of quitting. I have strong mental power, but I'm a wuss and hate the sickness...
Good for you....see we are all such support b/c only we understand what this addiction does to us.....we've all been there!!! You're doing GREAT!!!!
Hi caz
One of the biggest things that helped me when I was in detox was working out...now mind you I was a smoker to at that time...LOL so I started out on the treadmill for about two minutes a day and worked my way up...It really helps those angry feelings out...I think you have done a great job CONGRATS on day 10
have a great night, Melinda
no not really. i wasnt referring to hot flashes. i really meant flashes of greatness. but i do feel your pain
That's the second time today I read the "Hot Flashes" refered to as "Great". I must have different ones. When I have them they feel poisonous. Like the gates of Hell are snapping at my heels. Or devil dogs breathing poison fire into me. They feel horrible to me." Hell" burning inside me.
