Congrats on 19 days!!! It's such an incredible feeling when you start to feel good and it's not because of a stupid pill! I know  exactly what you're talking about with the feelings and emotions creeping in. I've been dealing with that too! But also I've been laughing alot!!! When something is funny, it's really funny and I've laughed til I've cried! I haven't done that in years!
Keep moving forward and I'm very proud of you!!!

Congrats on day 19 that's a huge accomplishment. I know exactly what you are talking about how we masked our feelings and emotions for so long with that little pill. But we have to put on the big girl pants and face those demons face to face and defeat them. When we were on pills we did not stand a chance, but now we are getting clean and sober and we got our fight back. They always say that there is an underlying problem and that is why we use drugs so we don't have to deal with the feelings. But if we don't face what we need to face it will only lead us back into our addiction. Keep up the good work.

strong_survivor,  WOW!  That's Awesome!  I'm really not aware of your whole story, pills you've gotten off of, etc...But to hear that you are on day 19, and sounding so positive, and full of life-energy and so forth-and-so on...it just gives me great hopes for myself!  I'm Pleased as Punch for you, strong_survivor!!! I can't wait for day 19 to come my way.  I'm on day 2, of a long, tremulous road on Opiates and Opioids(well, nearly 5yrs;  I know many folks on this site, have struggled harder and longer than I.) Anyways, Congrats on staying away from the little, round, ingest-able Demons, AND Congrats on working out!  My son is a body-builder.  He's tried to get me to the gym with him, all this week.  I just don't have the energy, as of yet.  I know I will though, hopefully sooner than later.  Take care!  Sending hugs and positive thoughts your way!

Sorry I missed this thread. By now you should have 23 days clean. How wonderful!  You sound so happy and free from these pills. I'm happy for you. I am on day 12 and I am seeing so much more clearly every day and getting stronger and more confident.
So congratulations on your clean time!

I am on day 11. Let's help each other! I think it might take 30 days, what do you think? I took Opama 10 mg twice a day and Vicodin about 60 mg a day and went just plain cold turkey. Very weak, tired, can't sleep but I don't care! I am happy!

How's it going? Aren't the natural highs amazing? They last way longer than the artificial high. I was watching an NA speaker via youtube, and he said make sure to fill the "pill using" voids with something that give you the same enjoyment otherwise your reward system (in your brain) will seek that pleasure. Keep active and find a hobby. Enjoy the journey.
