Well this is day 2. I tried to get my dr to call something in to help my pain but he refused to which was good cause I really just didnt want to feel these wd. What im scared about im using imodium. Im still trying to eat. I think mostly what im feeling is the wd from the v I tried to use to end the tram with. I didnt sleep good but ive napped a lot today. Im scared now if I'll be able to go to work tomorrow. Feeling so slow mode and tiredtoday. Please tell me ill be able to make it through work. I was home through my detox before which made it easier but now im working ft again. I need the strength to do this. I can do this on day 3 right

It was thinking of him that made me realize I need to do this. He was a drug user in and out of jail. Joined NA and stayed clean for 3 years. He was my rock through my recovery before.  So his mode to keep from using was the gym. Thats what I want again.  I know its one day at a time. I will get through this. But its the crappy wd from the pain meds I need to get through. At least I didnt use the v that long so I dont have the restless leg thing. Its really just my stomach and no energy. Tram was like an upper and id fly through my day. But then id feel my heart pounding and off set it with the xanax. Im not sure im ready to taper because it has helped but I dont want to abuse it any more. The problem is my dr has already suspected im not using the xanax right so ill need to deal with that but I am ready to. Thank you all so much.

I am terribly sorry for the loss of your brother. Its extremelly hard times when we loose someone, and I can understand why you would use again. Im not going to tell you that was wrong, but loosing someone is one of the hardest things in life we will ever have to come to terms with.. But your back again trying to stay clean, well done for you. Lets prey you have a speedy recovery from detox. Your doing great trying again, you need to make yourself aware of what you are trying to accomplish and realise if you can do this, you will be able to do anything : )

Thank you. I know it will help me feel better to not think of pills. Cause thats all I do at home when I feel desperate.  I have to keep lots of imodium on me. And get to the dr which I will before the last of my xanax is gone. Thank you so much

For me, going to work took my mind off the misery of withdrawals and gave me something else to focus on. It was no picnic with the sweats, yawning, diarrhea, etc. but Imodium really helped with those symptoms a LOT. Just think, by next Monday you will be feeling somewhat normal as you head into the work week. I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother. Hang in there friend. Good luck!

Thank you. Its been rough. Day 3 and 4 were hard last time. Im telling my boss today im sick with flu so ill see how I feel tomorrow but I do know id be better off at work then home thinking of the pills. I was 14 months clean but after my brother getting killed I went back to not wanting to feel so I know I have issues I need to work through. Thank you all so much. Really this time its just the low energy and stomach problems. So hopefully I get through it quick. I know its from using the vicodin for a few days after stopping the tram. The v always does this to me :(

Hi, alot of people on this forum go to work on day 1, 2, 3 etc into their detox, and I admire their strength. If you can do it, it does take your mind of w/d's instead of feeling it more in bed. Walking around is the best for you if your job entails this.

But nobody knows if you can work until your at work. Everyone will tell you, we are all different, and have different w/d symptoms. But you can always give it a go and if you cant stand it anymore, go home with food poisoning, the flu, gastro etc. you can make up anything, and hopefully if your too sick, your boss will see how you are, and send you home. Best of luck. Fortunantly I didnt have that problem, but yes, heaps of people do work the whole time in detox. I wish you well.

Bless your heart! I hate putting a time frame on anything but usually day 3-4 your in the thick of it! You can do like I did an use the "flu" as your smoke screen!! Can you take a couple days of work? If not, make sure you have your Imodium and lotsa water with you. Its hard but CAN be done!!
