day 75 and back to see the surgeon...

I go to see the dreaded surgeon at 2pm today. I blame a lot of my pain issues on him. Hes the one that cut my shoulder open twice, for what I feel like no reason. I still have the same awful pain that I began with 5 years ago, in fact its worse now. I think that my pain is probably from a pinched nerve, not anything thats torn inside my shoulder anymore. Would it be right of me to ask him to refer me to a neurologist instead of getting further treatment from him? Last time I saw him he said that if I were to come back, its probably because I have too much scar tissue built up in my shoulder~which means he would cut it open AGAIN.. thats not what I want at all. Hes a cocky jerk, and I'm afraid that he thinks I'm insane for still feeling like his two surgeries did absolutely nothing for me. Hmmm.. I guess I'm just venting.. thank you all for being here :)

good news! He did refer me to a neck/back specialist and says theres definitely something wrong with my neck or nerves close to my neck. Hopefully this doctor can figure out whats been wrong with me for the last 8 years. Today was HARD, I must admit. Couldn't stop thinking about pain medication all day. struggling through, but I made it. one day at a time...

Sounds like you need a second opinion.  I went to three different Dr.'s before I decided to have my spinal fusion done.  Nothing wrong with seeking the expertise of a different Dr.
