It will probably let up some tomorrow. Try and think positive. You should try and get some icyhot pads, you can use on your legs for rls and back, anywhere they really help. You got this.

See you made it. Next will be Day 5 and then you should be going down hill for another week. You are doing it!!!!  Just gotta deal. There is no fix.

And yes watch out with the xanax. That was too much. You can't force yourself to sleep. It will come back. Xanax can make it worse. Please be careful.

Hurray for day 4!!!!  It really will start to get better soon!!!  Just keep hanging on!!!  Be really careful of the Xanax!  4 mg is a LOT unless you are used to taking that much!  I am on 2mg of Ativan and that helped me sleep during detox but I will be detoxing from that soon as my effexor detox is done.  Please be careful and try some of the other suggestions!  You are doing it though and thats awesome!!!!  Keep up the great work!!!!

Yay. Congrats ate day four! Aren't you the one who said you've never made it past day three? You've officially made it further than ever before. There is no turning back now. It is uphill from here. You got this.

Hey girl...have you tried anything folks recommended for the rls?

Compression stockings (I use my oldest's, almost knee high athletic socks)
Hylands for restless legs (pharmacy/Target, etc)
HOT Epsom salt baths - calms the mind and body (can get big bag cheap)
Heating pad
Wrap legs in towels directly from dryer

I understand the Xanax - I used it as well - but that's a pretty high dose and don't want you to be detoxing off that next.  Also, have you tried any meditation - yoga nidra?  That may help you as you struggle and get anxiety about the sleep.

You can do this.  Keep moving forward and know that with each hour, day you get through you are closer to the other side.

Best to you!

I felt the same way. I didn't sleep more than 15 minutes a night for at least 2 weeks, this is w/d from suboxone. I will tell you what my addiction therapist told me. You wont die from lack of sleep, the worst thing that can happen is you will feel uncomfortable and tired. Taking Benzos during this time is not a good idea, a dual w/d is really going to suck. W/D can be horrible but you just have to get through it, whats a few weeks or a month of feeling crappy compared to being clean for life? You can do this! Don't give up. XOXO

Congrats on day four! Im not sure what you were taking, but it will get better, I complained a lot during my sub w/d and its okay! It helps to talk about it with people that understand. The cravings you are having are normal, your brain is pissed and wants the drugs back, but don't do it! This is your time to reach out and get some aftercare. Everyone on here that has stayed clean is going to tell you that! I know you feel like crap right now, but your are going to need support, once the withdrawal is over that is when the real work begins, it is staying clean that is the hard part. If you are coming off of opiates, look up the Thomas recipe, its a list of vitamins and minerals, and it helped me a lot, also Epsom salt baths.I also take melatonin and supersnooze for sleep, valerian root helps with anxiety, sleep was my biggest problem, and those help a lot. Try not to dwell on how bad you feel, distracting  yourself with things you like to do can help, movies, books, sober friends, etc. All of these things helped me through and I wish you the best! Keep posting, you will receive a lot of help and advice here. XO. Carrie
