I saw the doctor .....

Well this is proving harder than I thought.    I had a scheduled appt with the Sub Doctor this morning.  I was on the fence whether I should go or not.. I had hoped I could do this CT... but I am a whimp plain and simple..and w/d freaks me out.  Maybe if I had someone with me I could manage, but I get scared.  

I told the doctor I wanted off the suboxone and that I regretted starting it.  We cut the dose to 2mg.. He wanted to see me in 2 weeks but I told him 1 week, that I wanted off this asap, not to drag out. I made it clear to him it was a huge mistake.  I asked him how he tapered others off and he was evasive.  He is in it for the money.

At the pharmacy I only kept the pill under my tongue until it was about half dissolved and managed to get the rest out.  I'll do this until Friday then try again.  

Please don't give up on me.

EvolverU is right.  No one is giving up on you.  I understand the desire to be off quickly.  Just don't do it so fast that you abandon recovery.

No one's giving up on you, lilian! Just don't YOU give up on you -- you can do this! I think sometimes that we torture ourselves with constant worry over what the w/d's will be like so much that the fear ends of being worse than the actual process. I also think that our habit of trying to get an exact answer on what it'll be like & how we can somehow mitigate it can turn into ways of delaying or even avoiding detox. I'm not saying that's you -- at all -- just that that fear tends to feed itself & grow until we don't know which way is up & can actually make the detox worse.

I know that you want this bad! It's yours for the taking. You're on your way just keep your eye-on-the-prize & if you don't have anyone with you to help out or support you, please, stay with us :)
