Thank you for the advise. I am going to rid myself of the meds. I want to be done with the addiction so badly! I do keep thinking how taking one little pill would make me feel all better, really has a grip on me! I am at about 20 hours with none. Not that long but I'm just gonna keep looking at the moments as they pass as a step closer to being clean by the holidays. The freakin leg aches and crawlies are driving me nuts~ and I can't seem to sleep...I know this will pass.
Thanks for all the encouragement! I will try anything and everything except the drug...don't ever want to go there again!
Hugs and prayers...thank you:)
Try about 50 mg immodium. They take the WDs away (normal dose is 2 mg at a time). I've done it a zillion times and it worked so well I was able to work thru WDs. Seriously. You will only get "backed up" for a day then all will be normal (not the icky WD craps). I took 50 mg ata time when needed, usually twice a day fir 2-3 days. Do a google search for loperimide - it's an opiate that does not cross the blood brain barrier but will bind to the mu receptors in your gut. It eliminates all the nasty aches, sweats, rls. Just be sure to drink a lot of water bc it can dehydrate you.
Well....are you just trying to get to your next script date or are you going to make a run at quitting for good? Depending on that answer this will help......Start drinking lots of water and tea.....the faster you can get the chemical out of your system the faster the severe withdrawals will go away. Try eating a lot of lean protien and take fish oil pills and a wide range multi-vitamin. In the health pages there is a Amino Therapy link that has a lot of good information and suppliment ideas.....The biggest thing that helped me was to exercise! I know it is the last thing you probably want to do right now but the more you do the better you will feel in the short and long run. Take some long hot baths and try and keep your mind active will help immensely! Good luck and we are all here to help!
That sounds like what I go through every month. I'm in Pain Management and get a script each month, but it never lasts. So I go through withdrawal every single month. This has been going on for the past 2 years! Dumb I know. It helps if you actually have pain, to take hot baths and get a OTC sleep aid. I use heating pads a lot too. I don't really have an advice on how to get through everyday. I have to mentally tell myself that I'll make it and it could be worse.
