empathy and fear

i worry for some of you, after my own modest journey into pain meds and the harsh road out
(3.5 years in, 30+ days completely clean except for ibuprofen now)
and reading about the struggles some of you have, my heart (and body) aches knowing what you have to do to get your lives back.

and i also recognise that if you dont do it, you will never be free to enjoy 'yourself' again.

its a horrible drug, that fills and overtakes every cell of our body,

i am no longer me, i am the drug.

and how quickly the desire to heal dies when the symptoms begin,

dont give up, as long as there is the desire for better things, there is hope.

Everything in life that is worth anything will be hard to obtain. You must make the choice and work toward the goal. The payoff will be better than the adiciton in the long run.God Bless.

Hey there...I really liked what you said in this post...I was just telling someone this morning about that drug haze..its like we are not the same person..and when you let go of the substances its like this other part is dying and another is coming to life..Things seem clearer as you go....Thoughts still go crazy fromtime to time..yet I am now able to sit backand really reflect, and I believe it shows...........

I totally believe that truth prevails beforeall else...and even if you arent ready for the truth it will keep slamming you in the face..even though you may not want it or try to hide from it in drugs...its always there.........

I respect what you have written and I look forward in talking to you in the future

Thanks
Happy Thoughts and Prayers
Love
