Chronic Pain

I had very major back surgery a couple years ago.(failed) I was accepted for SSDI due to the chronic paiin.
I had one doc who kept me on percocet and soma,  I was also a heroin addict who was on subobxone.
Well, when I told the pain doc he dropped me. Long story shot... I need to find a real pain management doc in my area who will prescibe Methadone - in my case it kills two birds with one stone...pain and the "H"
Where can I find a doc who will prescribe Methadone for chronic pain in my area. I don't want to be on Percocet, Soma and all that... it did not work, (therefor the H)
I live in Mentor OH.
Any help from anyone?

check your local phone book, under pain management or methadone clinic. I think it terrible when doctors are that way, you are honest about your past and need help and they just turn their back on you. seems like they shouldnt be able to pick and choose who they take care of. just my opinion, nothing more...

Did you check to see if there are any pain management clinics in your area?  I know (at least where I live) that they do prescribe Methadone for chronic pain.  My doctors are debating right now whether that is an option that they want me to try.  It really bugs me when you are honest with a dr about your past and they hold it against you and leave you in terrible pain.  It just doesn't seem right to me.
