feeling better what to do next????

Well I'm 12days off methadone today but because of health issues was put on loratabs several days ago..I've had a very hard time handling this. ..I'm hrre to say that I'm FINALLY starting to feel better..thank you lord....I've been taking 2-3 500mg loratabs a day for the past 4days straight. ..now that I'm feeling better I want to stop..I have 5pills left and was hoping I could get some advice on the best way to come off...should I just stop?? Should I break them n half and ween off??? I'm also concerned that because I went on loratabs so soon after stopping the methadone am I still going to experience methadone w-ds??? I knw there's no way to avoid w-ds but if I can do anything to make them not so bad..ill b a happy camper...

It is so good to hear you are feeling better!  I agree with flushing the pills (if you don't need them at this point).  There is no way to know for sure about the w/d's or how bad they will be IF you have them at this point.  Try not to worry about it - the anxiety is going to make it worse.  Just take it one day at a time and address the problems IF they arise.  If you are having problems just post here & ask for help with the specific symptom.  But think positive - you have already been through a lot.  Baby steps . . . live in the moment & enjoy feeling better!

Hi Jenn In my opinion you are feeling better for the trams. 500mg is a powerful dose so if you taper them it may help the wd be not so intense but you will still face it in the end our as Sara suggest get rid of them and get back to getting better quicker. Methadone wd is pretty long so the vitamins eating well and exercise is good to incorporate early. I wish you well with what ever decision you make. lesa

If you dont need them i would flush them.  You should be okay as you havent been on them very long.  I think they are messing with you more mentally at this point.  I am happy to hear you are feeling better!
