helo

ok so i just wrote this whole thing in the wrong place anyways not sure who is on here that will remember me but i have been struggling for some time again with opiates and I'm feeling really bad sneaking behind my husbands back he doesn't deserve this  anyways i did the meetings for about a year after i got out of rehab 2 years ago and i dont think they are the way for me i dont like them i have been to several anyways i just broke my hip and i am finding and i truly believe that when there is trauma to the body a break or a surgical cut that it brings old traumas and emotions to the surface and if you are aware you know its going on which i am well aware and i am looking at this injury as a blessing and as soon as i am cleared to drive i am getting my *** back into therapy for sure i want to finish this journey once and for all I'm going to be 51 in 2 months for christs sake its getting old part of me doesnt want to quit but i find I'm not getting the joy i once got from them and dont even know why i spend money on them i dont really have i have a limit and dont go past it and i didn't even play up the pain with my hip i just cant I'm not like that and i have no clue why I'm even putting this on here  so i hope everyone is well and on their way to getting where they need to be love and light kellygirl

HI Kelly good to see you post but I do wish it where on better terms.... you know the drill when your ready to quit again but the bottom line you got to be ready....as for the meetings your disease  will tell you you dont need them but as addicts we do need some sort of aftercare ....you may want to try a addiction therapist or a substance abuse counselor both can help it it may be a better fit for you...as for the progam  the ,meetings are only 1/2 of it you need to get a sponcer and work the steps....with time and working the program you will loose the very desire to use....N/A is the only program that I know of that can offer you this freedom so you may want to give it another try as always we are here for you...you dont need to be chained to a pill bottle the rest of your life  keep posting here for support

I remember you Kelly because we are practically neighbors!!

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling...  it never gets any better out there from what I hear.

If you want to meet up at a meeting sometime just let me know!  I know you said you don't think they are for you but maybe going with a fellow MHer will help!  :)

Take good care of you!!  ♡
