Using methadone and morphine with high blood pressure

Hi there... My brither had been addicted to Oxycontin for many years and has extremely high blood pressure. He has been going to the methadone clinic now for about a year and is on 25mg blood pressure meds. He has recently started chewing up morphine patches as well. He always has one in  his mouth and is not functioning properly at work. He is right out of it all the time,,,he has withdrawn from all activities he just sits at home and watches tv...don't think he sleeps much. I am becoming very worried about him having a heart attack or something considering the blood pressure. Can you please give me some info on what might happen if he continues this way and also on anything I could do to try to help him. He does not really want to listen to anything we have to say but I can't just give up on him. Thanks

Ohhhh boy methadone and chewing up morphine patches is just asking for to OD.Here is the hard part you can sit down and tell him how much you love him and how concerned for his life you arebut he is going to have to be the one that decides he wants help that by far the hardest things for a loved one of an addict .All you can do I encourage him to help himself
