how to taper

hey everyone, i am a guy who likes drugs, like many of you here who post over this forum, i wanted to ask a couple of questions guys, i have been on buprenorphine for the last three years i´ve been doing 3 Temgesic amps daily,  and i wish to start a taper plan, i dont want to keep doing this anymore, yesterday and the days before i did 4 amps, i really do not want to keep living this way, as i spend lots of money, all my cash goes to the pharmacy, and like most of you im a freakkin pharmacy monster, where i live is very easy to score, you just need a fake prescription, which you can do, and the $ for any drug you want:

here in Mexico Buprenorphine addiction has taken over most of main cities, we are like zombies now, many  of us...
hahaha bums now do iv pharmacy drugs......

Bupe can give you headaches and make you dizzy. Sounds like withdrawal by morning. So you are at 1.3mg a day. That's a lot with iv use. Have you tried to do 1/2 an amp so you don't get the rush but slow down detox. If you do 4 times a day 1/2 as much, maybe you can have the strength to taper. I know you can't afford a clinic, but NA is free. Maybe some members there can give you more specific taper ideas. There must be some recovering bupe zombies in the Mexico City NA. You have to reach out for help, and not only the internet. Keep us posted, and at least try NA, and be careful.

hey guys thanks all for the support, the thing that scares me the most is the chills in the morning, ******* freezing cold everyday, and not be able to sleep for 15 days is terrible to think of.. i am still doing iv because subs are expensive and i cannot afford them,

im not hallucinnating anymore, i always wake up at 2pm or so, with headaches and all dizzy, i switched to a cheaper bupe also, im not doing temgesic anymore and this **** always give me this feelings....
or maybe im getting sick idk, but my tolerance is indeed getting higher, and 2 amps wont help me survive... also i do some weed, and it "helps" my mind to stop thinking about needles...

God Bless --- Rick

This is so sad, and so not funny, i hope you find the courage and fortitude to go in the right direction and not be a broke "zombie" any longer. Today sounds like a good day to start...

Glad to hear you're still alive. You had been tapering down to two shots a day the last we talked. Now you're up to 4. Are you still hallucinating, or is your tolerance getting higher? Did you ever make it to an NA meeting? Have you tried to use it orally? Brother, you know what to do. Get every bit of strength you have, and do it. I'm worried about you man. As you know, I understand the insanity of where you live, but you can't go on much longer like this. Private message me any time, I think of you and pray for you often. Glad you are still trying.

Since the addiction has taken over many cities, is there a rehab that you could go to for detox and further rehabilitation? I've been to rehab, it is an incredible opportunity to go to rehab and may enhance your ability to avoid relapse. Are you shooting this then?

Buprenorphine is an analgesic and opiate antagonist. Its analgesic effects are much greater and last much longer than those of morphine. In USA, It is available in a variety of formulations: Subutex, Suboxone

This is an excerpt from Wikepedia's article on buprenorphine.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buprenorphine#Inpatient_rehabilitation_and_detoxification

Buprenorphine is a semi-synthetic opioid that is used to treat opioid addiction in higher dosages (>2 mg), to control moderate acute pain in non-opioid-tolerant individuals in lower dosages (~200 µg), and to control moderate chronic pain in dosages ranging from 20–70 µg/hour. It is available in a variety of formulations: Subutex, Suboxone (Buprenorphine HCl and naloxone HCl; typically used for opioid addiction), Temgesic (sublingual tablets for moderate to severe pain), Buprenex (solutions for injection often used for acute pain in primary-care settings), Norspan and Butrans (transdermal preparations used for chronic pain).

Welcome to the forum, Kipy.   I don't think anyone can tell you how to taper, it is against forum rules, but someone will be along shortly that might be able to explain a little.   Good luck to you.
