i REALLY need this answered

hey
ive been on this site for a while now not as a member but as an observer! i live in london and im a heroin addict or former addict or whatever. I have had this really strange thing happen to me and i feel that the knowledge and insight on here will potentially help me to sort it. I smoked brown for 2 years and at the start of this year i went cold turkey and ended up in a&e my withdrawls were that bad. in august 2009 i started subutex which has acted like a wonder drug for me, now i have been reading posts on here and doing my research on subs but something strange has happened 2 weeks ago i stopped taking them (i was taking 16mgs per day) and i had NO withdrawls??????
i am completely baffled, how is this possible?
i must note that i started smoking B again but only for a few days and because i wanted to not for physical reasons, i then went back on the subs cause i know i will have bad WD's from the B. this week ive stopped taking the subs again and like last time im not ill. can anyone explain this to me because i had prepared myself for the worst WD of my life coming off the subs and that antisipation was confirmed by following the debates re the drug on here. I really hope some of the guys that post info on here read this and respond. I totally dont understand what and why this is happening?
anyone care to comment?
love from london x

i take zoplicone which are sleepers, ive been taking them for 2years as i have extreme insomnia, apart from that not a thing. ive not taken any subs for 2 days now. i had 8mg and im going to see how long it takes to feel anything bad, when it happened a few weeks ago i felt nothing at all but smoked heroin after 1 week off the subs just for the sake of it but ended up smoking for 4 days so needed the subs to come off the B cause i get really bad WD's from B. im really confused right now. im sure im missing something!!...

yeah august, i started on them in aug 0n 24mg per day reduced to 16 then 8.ive read so much about it and soon realised that the reason i was feeling so good was that the withdrawld was going to be so bad. i didnt start a reduction on purpose just one day i slept over at a friends and forgot to take my subs with me but realised i didnt need it and just didnt take anymore for 5 days. after 5 days is started smoking herion but as i mentioned previously that was cause i wanted to there were no physical or extreme mental symptoms there. im sooooooo confused by this and really hoping someone might have an explination!! i hope your lucky too. i dont believe its luck though, im just not sure what the hell it is!! but i do wish you all the best in your detox...

You have been blessed !  That's abt.  the only reason that I can think of.  I have never heard of someone not having withdrawls after sub.   I'm glad it happened for you tho.

Best wishes

Ella
