did you feal short of breath 24/7 ....?
It was hard to understand what was going on at first. I Truly thought I was gonna die! After a while I realized I've now had this feeling 100 odd times and I'm still here. Maybe the docs are right and I'm having anxiety. It seems once I realized that they slowly faded away. I still had a few after but I talked myself through them. Breath in breath out. I found taking a bath or just sitting for a moment all the while keeping in mind that it's happened before and I lived why would this time be any different.
I still have a little social anxiety but not nearly as bad.
If you've had all the medical tests and they've come back good you should talk to your doc about anxiety. I know there are meds for it.
I know this must be H e L L for you specially at such a young age but there is a cure. You will be fine. This is just a little bump in the long road of life. You'll see wants you address the "real" problem with your doc he will give you many many ways to deal with it. You might also google anxiety attacks and read up a bit on them. That will help you understand a bit what is actually happening when you start feeling this way!
James if you ever need to chat please post or pm me I'll try to help ya in anyway I can.

how did you cope with it ? what did you do , i am still weghting to go to counciling meatings , the doctors say im phyicaly fine but im sure its much worse because i have had this fealing now for over a year and im at the end of the rope i feal like giving up !
Hi, I'm sorry that you aren't feeling well. I had a similar thing happen when I was just a little older than you. I think I was 21, I ODed on Cocaine and for years after I felt like I couldn't catch my breath and I was constantly trying to swallow but it felt like my throat was closing up. I also had what felt like a very hard pounding heart rate, sweaty palms and so on. It got to the point were I wouldn't leave my house. I went to the ER a few times as well as a family doc. Each time they told me I was having anxiety. I was sure they were wrong and I was going to die at any moment.
After a few years of this it finally stopped. It was anxiety but when it's happening to you (or me in my case) you truly feel like you're gonna die. It's the worst. While I agree with beach make sure you have checked everything physically that you can when it's all ruled out your symptoms sound to me the same. Maybe mention or ask your doc if it could be anxiety. Mine was triggered by the cocaine od yours might be triggered by the terrible xtc come down. I've had a few of those as well and I know they can be scary and also depressing.
I wish you good luck you are way to young to be going through this. But it's all in if you play the game you must prepare yourself for more of the same.

i have had numerous things done to me , chest x rays , heart monitors and evry doctor says im fine ! im going to do something drastic if this is not sorted =( i have not told the doctors that i have taken illegal substances thou....
I would take your breathing problem very serious..........
Get checked out by a family doctor,,,,,,,they can even run a heart check right in the office....I just had one....
thank you for your time to help me, i did forget to menshion i have high blood pressure and i take medication for it , i dont know if that would interfear...
you could go to a physician to reassure yourself that you are physically well. that would be wise as that is the first thing you need to do when suffering anxiety and panic disorder which can arise after an incident such as yours. panic attacks can cause all of your symptoms. once you know that you are healthy you will feel better and hopefully never do that again. good luck
your young you will heal, but consider this a lesson. drugs are very dangerous and many people phuk themselves up for life with them, is that what you want? enjoy your health and youth, and stay away from drugs now.even a pint too many can land you in jail for 20 years if you kill someone driving home.
make better decisions for yourself now you know it can get you too.
Do the docts know about the X and the cocaine and did you smoke it? It can do very subtle damage to your lungs and if they know, they may want to do some more testing. It isn't normal for you to be short of breath - you need to have further f/u to be certain before calling this anxiety. Good Luck
I would also suggest going to a cardioligest get your heart checked out see if your ekg is around 50-60%. I know someone that had the same symptons and he lost a huge % of his heart if it was not fixed immediatley he could have lost his life. Keep in touch...Alli
Sounds as though the XTC had triggered some pretty bad anxiety issues. Everything you mentioned is a anxiety symptom. You may need to see a psychiatrist. The anxiety issues may resolve over time, or you may need an antianxiety medication to keep you even for a while.
the constant swallowing thing is a huge symptom of mine when Im having a panic attack. I get so I NEED to swallow repeatedly but at the same time, cant, like my throat is closing up and I can get no air either. You may be hyperventilating--the shortness of breath and swallowing thing goes along with hyperventilation. Good luck to you.......are you stopping all these drugs now/trying to?
