methadone detox w/weed

Hello: My niece is coming to live with us, she is leaving a bad place and we are wanting to help, so the way this is working out she is now in a city where she is staying with a trusted friend but has no access to her 100mg/day meth. We have improvised by swapping meth with indica weed. She's coming here in a week to stay, she seems to be managing "ok" w/ some anxiety on the weed and it's legal here. The question is do we continue or what. My plan is to allow her lots of weed for a couple months then taper that. Any thoughts out there?

Hi....well coming off 100mg of methadone is going to be like getting hit by a truck.....the weed may help a bit but it is not a opiod so very little she is going to be sick sick for 10 days to 2 weeks then it is just the acakes and pains  no sleep and the energy crash that can last for months   I came off 150  but tapered and was still dope sick for 90 days  we have had members jump from 120  but it ant pritty  it would be good if you could get her on here when she gets to your place  if she trully wants to change her life  N/A is a good choice  if it will work for a old dope fiend like me it will work for anyone keep posting for information  just know this methadone hands down is the worst of the worst to detox off of  personally I feel that anything above 20 mg is cruel I have helped a lot of people off this drug
