go out side look at the clouds listen to the birds breath in the fresh air .. you have to take you mind off the whole precess and focus on moving forward remember you ARE moving forward every day even if it doesnt feel like it right now. the mgs are getting lower ever week and that is progress. with that said how is the weather where you live???? this is how i get through the process focus on healthy things.distraction is a must....i know what you are going through it is very difficult but you are taking your life back and you gonna have to fight for it....when u feel the anxiety coming on go for a walk or cook something or watch a funny movie. this will get better you just have to focus on life not your feelings... i wish you all the best hang in there....
I agree, nolife, I think that's the train of thought.
Ponco, for now, the halflife is kind of irrelevant, because you're redosing every day, so the Methadone isn't leaving your system. Just try not to get hung up on these details. Honestly, they don't matter...just wait and see how this goes.
I'm just guessing here, but I think he is wondering when that dose leaves his body whether or not he is going to experience any wd? It seems to be the thing he is most worried about.
I am not being rude here but i am just wondering why it matters to when it leaves your body?
I'm reposting what Weaver said to answer your question:
In 60 hrs 1/2 of a days dose is gone. In 90 hrs 3/4 of a days dose is gone. In 120 hrs 5/8 of a days dose is gone, etc... Every 60 hrs, half of what is in your system is gone, so when taking methadone every 24 hrs, you can see why it takes so long for it to leave your body. It is leaving you body very slowly, that's why your taper should be fine.
Bottom line is in 60 hours 1/2 of that 5 mg will leave your system, and then another 60 hours before the other half is gone.
i know im working on it maybe you can answer this for me please I decreased tues. 5 mgs when will that 5mgs leave your system? how many hrs or days? thank you
