milk thistle

can anyone tell me if it is ok to take milk thistle with pain meds. i had all my top teeth removed yesterday. when i found out about the danger to your liver from pain pills in the beginning, i started taking milk thistle like a multi-vitamin. didn't even think of any interactions.

Milk thistle is used for the liver - - - there are no contraindications for the milk thistle and pain pills .......

i had my liver checked about 8 months ago and it was fine. that is when i started the milk thistle. it scared me bad. i had very light feces (sorry so graphic! LOL) and that scared me. i think that is one of the symptoms. When i take a pain pill i IMMEDIATELY go lay down and go to sleep. that way i don't feel the "high." seems to be working. anyway, thanks for posting i'll stop the milk thistle until finished with the "DEVILS!!!"

I would stop taking the milk thistle until you are done with the pain meds Then start it back up.Have you gone to get your liver checked yet ?

NO not using recreationally, I HAD TEETH PULLED. my husband is holding the meds. i only use the pain meds when it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. i didn't even want them but husband said that he would help me.

It wont help if you are still using .You would have to ask a pharmacist about interactions.

You have ben here a long time, two years? Still using? I don't think any supplement could hurt you if you are still using, or not.
