missing my sleep bad

Well I b on day 5 in about 20 mins but its the lack of sleep that's killing me right now don't know what to do about it I Tryed over the counter meds they not helped at all I am sleeping about 2-3 hours a day make for some long days sleep about 2 hours tonight  not even midnight and I up already hope some of u have some ideas on what I can do to  help me sleep and thanks for all the support it been a big help

I am on day 14 today and I swear I has only had one night (day 12) that I slept 2 hours. The rest has been a nightmare! It's my single biggest issue right now.

I almost always jump into threads like this since it is a subject I'm well experienced with.     I have had life long fibromyalgia which caused a life long sleep disruption disorder.  I attempted to treat it with meds which only ended up causing a second sleep disorder and put me right out of commission in life.      
Many meds legal and illegal that are discussed on this forum disrupt the brain and body chemistry.    They take over and push aside the brain's production of its own natural chemicals that control the sleep/wake cycle.   When those quickly wear thin,  addiction develops.    But when we finally do withdraw from our addicted drugs,  it takes a while for the brain to realize it needs to start producing its own natural chemicals again.     You are in that lag period and its not easy.    I went through that multiple times during that 14 year period taking meds.     It will return to normal but it takes time.    I have my doubts about the otc's that are always suggested,  they never helped me get back to normal any sooner.

If you cant sleep just get up cuz the longer you lay there the more irritated you become.  Watch a movie or something.  I know this part is nasty but the sleep will come.  Stay away from caffeine if you can too.

Don't let it make you crazy!!! It was getting to me as well. I had to accept it
as part of the ordeal and try and cope with not sleeping. If I lay down during the day I can get 45 minutes or so. At night, nothing. I've tried every organic
sleep-aid there is...melatonin, kava, valerian, etc. I know this is temporary and still better than the HELL I was in 2 weeks ago. Whatever it takes, I will go through it to get to the other side...CLEAN!!  try a catnap when you're feeling really tired, if you can. I have my kids this weekend, so I'm just going to be tired. Last weekend, they were getting up (7:30am) and I hadn't fallen asleep yet! it sucked! Oh well, this too shall pass. Hang in there man.

Iam only tapering but am getting the sleep deprived thing since i've went from 80mg or more to 30-40mg of hydro & i'am taking melatonin. The first 2-4 nights it did ok but last night i got a whole 8 hrs so i hope it works for u. Good luck & keep up the good work!!

I would suggest getting a hold of some melatonin it worked wonders for me. Also talk to your doctor about the sleep issue I also got help from that too!
