methadone wd

good morn. everyone 8am thurs. i dont know when the chills ive been haveing from even before i started to decrease from 80mgs, they just wont go away,i dont have what every one else gets sweating, i have no prob. sleeping either, cant even keep my eyes open half the time, the more i decrease the more tired i get ,go figure, im i really going threw wd or is this my blood pressure meds? chills ,tired? i dont hjave the answers my doctor doesnt either another reason to look for a new doc.she blames every thing on the methadone, whicth she knows nothing about, she told me she knows nothing, i guess when i look for a new doc. it would be nice if they new about methadone, because they can give you the wrong meds and kill you, that would be some thing for everybody to think about, doctors dont care, its about money, just like the clinics john

Hey john.....about your withdrawal.....first off methadone has a 1/2 life of 36hr  meaning you usually dont feel the decrese till a few days go by   there are exceptions to the rules  I know people who would feel it the same day.....keep pumping the vitamins calicum/magnesium/zinc in about 3 days you should have some releaf also dont rush this it will only get you sick  the last 20 it is critical you go slow  keep posting for support we all want to see you get clean............Gnarly

I was one of those people who could sleep and that's all I wanted to do when coming off opiates.   (sorry to those who can't sleep!)

I didn't visibly have sweat coming off me, but I did notice my underarms sweat more and so did my feet.  I sweated mostly at night.

I was freezing cold even with blankets, extra clothes, space heater, heating pad, you name it.

I take a beta blocker blood pressure medication regularly for migraines.  If you are just starting out on them or now taking the clonodine, then yes, you could be tired from them as well.

Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about low T or anything else like that right now.  Try not to over think your symptoms. It's hard not to when detoxing, I know.  When we do though, it increases our stress and anxiety.  You are doing very well and soon this will all be behind you.

Hi John. Chills are all part of the WDs. You are doing good!!  Just treat the symptoms and buckle down with it. You are almost at the finish line!! Don't stress about every little thing. Stress will make you sick as well. Try to relax and just know it will all be done soon!!  You are doing great!!
