opana and percocet

I been off opana for 3 weeks.  Now im almost weined off percocet. Just cant make that last step to quit it all the way. Opana withdrawls was the worst  thing ive been thru. Any advice to help get all the way off percocets?? I hate it that i love pills.

So you are taking double the dose you are prescribed basically and since you dont "like" them it really shouldnt be to hard to come off them. What I worry about is you need to find another alternative to manage the pain from the cyst first. Something non narcotic. I just worry that if you get in pain you will cave and take the percs. You will have some withdrawal from those as well similiar to the Opana but not as harsh,,I believe. Id wean off them slowly and speak to your doctor about non narcotic pain medications. Set up aftercare too. You love pills and that is going to be the real battle that you are gonna have to fight. Hang in there and keep me posted ((hugs))~Bkitty

Im takn 10 percs a day 10 mg. Im only prescribed 5 a day. Im tired of the pain and wasting $$ on extra relief.

I been on perc 10mg for 5 yrs. I got stabbed in my neck that left a cyst in my spine. So i dont use em for fun im really in pain. Im supposed to take 5 a day but i take 10.

HI first off you got to want it bad......second it requires discipline and self control 2 things most addicts dont have but if you got off the opana the percs should be ez for you you just have to make up your mind to pull the plug and jump off and get it over with yuor withdrawal will be mild compared to the opana so dont let that frighten you where all lut here to support you keep posting how many percs we talking about here????.........Gnarly

Hi and Welcome! I have heard Opana w/d's are pretty tough. Be proud of yourself for getting thru those. How much percocet are you taking now? What are you afraid is gonna happen if you stop the percocets? Dont hang on to something that you have no control over, and by that I mean this addiction that you are battling. We will never be able to control addiction. But we can control what we feed it. Let go of that last little bit. Its soo worth it in the end. Keep us posted!! ((hugs))~Bkitty
