Amino acids/protein for withdrawal?

Is there anyone here with good knowledge of amino acids and proteins. I'm 8 days in to a subutex detox and started taking mineral, vitamin, flex seed and amino/ protein shakes yesterday. They seem to have really helped with my energy and wellbeing but I found it even harder at night last night. My leg cramps and restless legs seemed to be worse than ever.
I bought a protein shake with many different acids in bit should I be taking this at night? I'm wondering if some of the acids have a negative effect on my wd's at night?

Yes,as Madtram said,Tonic Water is all quinine.  It doesn't taste the greatest,I don't think,so mix it with cranberry juice.  I've read that RLS is directly related to a water shift in the body. So keep drinking!

Have you checked into the amino acid protocol in the health pages?

Will do thanks, I really must drink more I know. I think there is tyrosine in the protein shakes so might just keep them to a morning. I took quinine in rehab and it helped but can't seem to get it off my doc here in the UK. did I hear that there is quinine in tonic water or have I just dreamt that one.?

Hi~  If you're taking L-tyrosine, stop that for now.  Otherwise, you need to really push the water and gatorade. Be sure you're taking calcium/magnesium,and potassium. The fluids along with those minerals are going to help you the most!  If you can find some quinine tablets, take those as well.  The RLS will hang around for about a week or so longer but will gradually improve.

Good luck!
