Subutex or Suboxone Please Help!!!

Hey Yall

I wanted to say Thanks so much to all of you that responded to me earlier, I really appreciate all your help and concern.  I just saw somewhere on a drug info website that when switching from Methadone to SUBUTEX you
DO NOT have to wait untill your in withdrawls, the site said you can take the SUBUTEX  right away.
It did say that when switching from Methadone to SUBOXONE you have to wait 48-72 hours after your last dose of methadone.  The way I understood is that the Subutex has buprenorphine only and it does not have  the naloxone in it and the naloxone is what causes the withdrawls.   IS THIS TRUE AT ALL ???
Thank yall so much
Aj

Not only is that statement not true, it's dangerous. The Naloxone has absolutely no effect on you unless you inject the Suboxone. It's the buprenorphine itself that causes the precipitated withdrawals. The 48-72 hour waiting period is the same for Suboxone AND Subutex.
