sick of this

this is my first time writing in here.. I really don't know where else to turn I guess. I was on codeine 3's and hydrocodones for 12 years because of a car accident that left my with a plastic face. one day I decided to go into rehab and get off and I did so. was off them for a whole year....cracked a rib dancing and went right back on the hydros again..I am up to 5 tens at a time 4 times a day....I cannot afford them anymore!!!  I cant function without them,,,they make me happy and enegetic and I get alot of things dine and I'm in a good mood.   I have been off them for 10 days and my friend sold me some saboxine to get me through.. I have none left...going to outpatient therapy but the wait list for saboxin is 2 months!!! this is ridiculous.....I dont know what to do...I am violent and a walking time bomb...my nerves are shot!!! I snap at every thing and cry always, and cannot get off the couch....I threw a plate of food at my fiance and flushed his diamond down the toilet yesterday....NOT GOOD   NEED HELP

Please dont go on methadone, my god If someone would have told me what I know today, no way would I have gotton on methadone, I, used to be a pill addcit to, and at first I thought methadone was the way to go, boy was I wrong, its a living hell! I,ve been weaning myself off it for almost a year and still am not completly off it, I cant tell ya what to do, but I can tell you my story and what a mistake it has been to be on methadone. Looking back, I should have taken the three to four day withdrawal process and ran with it, now Im stuck with a year or more at withdrawals, sure methadones a great drug to be on, yeah right.

WWWWHHHOOAAAA..let's not jump too fast in recommending Methadone as a viable treatment. That frightens me. Methadone is the hardest of them all to come off of and can cause permanent damage to the body..not to mention the mind.

If you have detoxed prior, then you know the drill. You have a decision to make. But, as it was mentioned, there seems to be something else going on. I do think you would benefit from therapy at this stage.

Suboxone should only be taken when prescribed by a doctor and a program is followed. If you are thinking of going that route, please do your homework before committing to it. It is also an opiate and at some point you will have to deal with that.

Glad you came here for help. Keep posting and let us know what you have decided. Good Luck.

when your habit is cost you way to much and you already don't have any money you should consider going to the methdone clinic for me it has helped more than you can imagine I save so much more money cause when you pay $60 a pill and can do 4-5 pills a day it can get very expensive compared to the $78 a week i pay now the best part is you do'nt get high but you can feel normal and get of the couch and actually do things and have money it is the best thing that i could have done for my family i can now function without all the hastle of searching for my next fix cause for me ones too many and a thousand is never enoughso anyways hope my knowledge for you is useful

Good Luck with your life changing experience it hard but it all well worth it

Your right this is not good. Is there anyway you can get into an inpatient therapy facility? Where I'm at your boyfriend could have had you Baker Acted for getting violent. I'm sure you regret what you did but, it's not something your fiance can erase from his memory.

The fact that you did get off them for a year says to me you can do it again.

Good Luck, It sounds like to me your fiance is just trying to help. I'm very much alone with only this forum to help.

Have you thought about how you want to kick this?  The sub is another opiate and will require you to stop taking at some point.  It seems that you're dealing with more issues than just coming off of the pills.  What else might be bothering you and causing you to react in such a violent and destructive manner?  This forum is great and full of loving helpful people.

The only experience I have is going cold turkey and if you want more info on that, just ask.  Love and Strength to you!
