Hello, You can of course detox yourself at home. Since you have been through this before. You know not to stop cold turkey. Take a few days 5 max and just take less and less. I agree with lateaugust. The mental addiction is much worst than the physical. Get yourself a good support group, good aftercare, some other alternative to narcotics. I have had 7 major surgeries on my left knee and femur. I always kept going back to the pills because I thought I couldn't live with the pain. What I couldn't live with was having little white pills control me. I am sorry for the chronic pain. Its a -itch day after day, but its doable. You have to stay focussed on the day and know that you are strong enough to handle it. Getting yourself better mentally was the hardest part for me. I will pray for you and your family. Being clean is not easy, but it is a much better way to live this life god has given us. Take care.

Here's my opinion...  my daughter had an oxy addiction of smoking 6 to 8 80mgs a day in addition to some meth to keep her up or whatever drug she could get her hands on...  pretty much enough to kill a horse.    She has gone thru detox   i would  say at least 8  times with no drugs    not a joint  no clonidine   no xanax  not even Suboxone.......  she can handle the physical pain.   What caused her to relapse multiple times was not having a strong aftercare program,  because the mental addiction was (for her) a whole lot stronger than the physical, for her that only lasted 2 weeks at most.   The mental held her for a looong time......   she is on her way to recovery due to intense ongoing treatment since basically Feb 2009.

It sounds like you have gone thru a lot of pain so I would think w/d you can do.....  I just hope you get some deep aftercare to keep you clean.  My best thoughts are with you and your precious babies.
