suboxone users, I have a question

Hi. I am on day 6 of no suboxone, Have had nothing but one slip up 7.5 lortab Sunday. Contrary to what I read " a long post on sub w/d being long and terrible, I have not been too bad. However, I read that last night and am wondering if my mind is playing tricks on me, I am having w/d of hot and cold this morning. I have been on sub for 1 1/2 years, down to 6-8 mg a day although, may a days I took hydro with it, or would skip sub all together and take hydro and the occasional oxy. Any past experience with w/d lenghts etc would be great

i am afraid i don't know how to use this sight correctly, i did not receive your note or friend request, but i appreciate the effort that you made.  WHAT am I doing wrong with this?  How do you make a friend request?, or send a note besides posting a comment?  HELP, I am definately computer challenged!

i have been taking pain killers for about 4 years and i just made an appointment with a doctor to get on subs.  my drug of choice is lorcet, but will take vics, norcos, tabs, anything i can get.  i also take xanax like candy. im tired of chasing pills. i only take about three or four a day, but that is still too much. any advice about subs? please help!!!

HEY GIRL. I THIN KTHAT IF YOU TAKE A CRUMB OF SUB HERE AND THERE TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE MONTH OF TORTURE THAT IT WILL NOT INTERFERE W/ THE PROCESS OF YOUR BODY GETTING BACK TO NORMAL. BUT IF YOU KEEP USING HERE AND THERE THAT DOES INTERFERE. AND THAT IS WHAT I KEEEP DOING AND I M WASTING TIME.

right, i am not taking anything now...its been 52 days!!  WOO HOO for me...i jumped off at 2mg did have wds...and i was only taking 2mg a day maybe 5 days a week...im not sure what going back and forth does...i just know that you are supposed to be off your doc for so long before going on the sub or it can send u into wds...and im not sure if it does the same going from subs to doc without waiting...
if you really want to get off them you can...ween of the subs...somewhere in here someone posted a taper list...try that...i can't remember who it was but if you post for it im sure you will get it...

Most people go down to a crumb...or like 1 mg before they jump off..that is what i read and see on here...whoever told u u would not have wds from 4 mg of sub was wrong...if u do a slow careful taper u may not....just like if did a slow taper from ur drug of choice u may not...it is a narcotic and u would have to taper   4 mg of sub is equal to about 140 mg of morphine a day....not many could jump of that wd free

So you are taking nothing now ? So since i have slipped for 5 days now taken 3 or 4lortabs aday, should i try a crumb of sub for a wek or so and then maybe that would be the easiest less painfull route ? Basically i want no w/d but clearly that isnt happening. Thats what pissed me off withsub, I was told after u get to 4 mg a day you have no w/d. I wish i would have known 1 1/2 year ago, i could have just suffered then,verses this much later, finding out *I have to suffer anyway

how are you doing today?  how was going to work fulltime?  i was taking subutex...basically for pleasure more than for getting off the hydros...i got off hydros and my friend that was getting them for me was having a hard time getting off them so she turned to subutex and told me it was all day energy...so i tried it...and liked it...but i only started on 1mg...then went up to 2...cause like anything else you get used to it and it doesn't work...i took 2 mg...maybe 5 days out of the week...did it to get things done...if i didnt have one for 3 days i started to feel wds...then finally i had enuf...jumped off from 2mg...not realizing that i should have tapered even from 2mg...i had wds for 2 weeks...starting on day 2...the worse was the chills and sweats and not sleeping...the rest was feeling like i had the flu...no energy...the second week was def. better than the first but didnt sleep a full nite until 2 weeks...Good luck to you...hang in there...every day gets easier...

  I joined this site last night simply because I'm scared.I have been on the Sub program for about 6 months.I take 4 mg a day and moving down I was told this was the way to go.I had took it in rehab before for 13 days and came home no W/D,but I wasn't ready to stop.Now I got intouch with the assitant to the chemist who made it.I told her how long he was prescribing it.She freaked and said that was the most wreckless thing to do, it wasn't made 4 that.I aslo agree with the other post you have came so far you don't want that life anymore.Talk to me if you like we save each other.

Hi I'm on sub my self and Stacy there is another member that stopped at 16mg and was fine for 2 almost 3 weeks and then started the wd really bad that she had to go back on sub again, I'm not to sure about how the wd are but I'm also terrified when my times comes to stop how is going to be for me. I'm on 4mg a day now from 12 but I went all the way down to 1mg a day at one point and was having a lot of craving and problems with my health so my doctor wanted me back on 6mg I said 4mg so again that is were I'm is been 4 1/2 months for me and I have to say that so far is been good to me but I take nothing but tylenol sometimes and sub I dropped everything even anti depressents and mood stabilizers.

Actually this my second time around with the sub, the first month, last month I was using it as a filler when I couldnt get my oxy's. I used to be a heroin addict too about 9 years ago I got clean in rehab. Went for a long time felt like a different person in a whole new life and had appendix out when I got hooked on vicodin, then oxy's. so here I am again. I swore this month if my doctor took me back on sub I would not mess up again. So I have not because he said if I did he would put me on methadone and I did not want that!!!!!!!

I wish you well. I think you will do great. I never could get below 4mg a day. He seem to have alot of will power and self control. I was taking and mixing more than you, I am hurting a little today, but it is livable. The problem is getting it off of my mind.

Wow if you feel no WD I hope for the same, I am on sub and today is day 27 I think. But 27 absolutly nothing else but the sub. Just antihistimine to help with sleep. pssh we all know antihistamine is nothing good.. Or should I say nothing bad. Anyways I hope to not have wd from this like you. I have tapered myself all the way down to 1 mg a day, but I do feel it. Especially the jump from 2mg to 1 mg every 24 hours. I really hope its not painful for me to jump in the next few days!

I think when kick comes to shove...u gotta ant to be clean and no drug is going to do this for u...not sub...not meth...not a weaker opiate to taper with...u just gotta want it and be willing to do the work and suffer the aftermath and be patient...gotta wait it out and be positive....and do the best u can

Thank you for your concern. Sub works different for everyone. But for an addict like myself, that took hydro's to get a feel good buzz, naturally when I didnt get that buzz, I turned back to mydrug of choice.. Which is why I decided to go cold turkey, because nothing else worked. So I went on sub to get off hydro's, but it didnt work as well for me as it may for others. I have little self control and when I know there is something right down the road that makes me feel better than Sub, than I got it. This is just my opinion, so I hope noone takes offense, but to me Sub is very much like methodone and is just a legal way for the Dr's to get more money from you. My Dr told me he would keep me on it the rest of jmy life... Im 29 and I thought that was horrible, I dont want to be dependant on anything, but if I had to be it wouldnt be sub, which I didnteven get afeel good feling with. But after viewing this site, it does work for some and I am happy for them.

I SIH IWAS YOU. IT IS SO AWESOME THAT THE SUBOX WORKED FOR YOU. I LOVE SEEING PEOLE THAT DO WELL ON IT AND STOP USING AND GE THERE LIFE IN ORDER. I THINK IT IS EVEN BETTER THAT YOU HAVE MADE THE DECSION TO START YOU RLIFE AGAI NWITHOUT IT. IT CAN BE HARD AND I WOULDBE GLAD TO CHAT WITH YOU WHENEVER I CAN. I AM GOING HT ROUGH WITHDRAWELS MYSELF. IA WAS ON SUBOX FOR 4 MONTHS AND THEN I USED FOR A COUPLE WEEKS STRAIGHT. HEROIN IS MY DRUG AND THEN I DID SUB FOR LIKE 2 DAYS NAD JUST STOPPED WENT THREE DAYS WITHOUT SUB OR ANYTHING AND FELT EXAUSTED AND ACHY. SO I ENDED UP USING TOO KACOUPLE DAYS OFF USED AGAIN AND NOW I AM ON MY SECOND DAY NO OPAITES ( I USED FOR THREE DAYS I NA ROW BEFORE THAT) I TOOK 4 ML OF SUBOX YESTERDAY AND TOOKNONE YET TODAY I WILL TKAE 2 M LWHE N ISTART TO FEE LABD. BUT ANYWAY BACK TO YOU IT SHOULD BE AROUND A MONT HAND THERE ARE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO SUBSIDE SOEM OF THESE WITHDRAWELS.

I will admit I have abused sub the whole time, I used it as a backup. I just had pretty hard withdrawals day 1 & 2 than felt much better, till now. It is confusing me why this may be happening to me. I had constant help with my kids for 5 days, and now Im on my own, I am terrified of these w/d getting worse.

The Suboxone takes awhile to get out of your system so the withdrawels are delayed. You probably have also put them off by takeing the pain meds.
