suboxone-what happens when you stop

Today is my second day without taking suboxone. I am starting to feel the symptoms coming on and am scared. I remember taking oxy and being over the withdrawal in 4 days. Now with subs, it's 2 weeks? Who would make such an awful product like this? Any ideas on what to expect? I've been on subs for almost 8 years and have never been off them. I dont have anyone who even knows I was taking them. Except the person giving em to me but he took off. Now I don't know what's going to happen to me.

I'm in about the same spot as avik7, 40-some days free.  I think 5 - 7 days of moderate WDs is a good estimate.  I found the WDs less intense than full agonist opiates like vicodin.  The down-side for me was a lethargy that lasted 3 weeks after the initial WDs faded.  It was 30+ days before I felt sort of OK.  I would say about 85%.  I continue to get better and I'm so excited to be free.  It was and is worth it!

You can do it! I was on subs for 5 1/2 years and I am now 41 days clean from them. I heard awful horror stories but honestly my physical wd's were over in about 7 days. Everyone reacts different coming off obviously but it really wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I think days 3-5 were the crappiest. My doc wrote me 5 different meds to help with the wd's I think I took maybe 5-7 out of each bottle and didn't need them anymore. Keep posting on here. It helps tremendously. Lots of good advise. If you can look up my past posts and read through all the comments there is some amazing tips to help get through it!
