that's good news about your bp. yes those things you mentioned could have caused a higher reading.
that is great that you told your doctor to note your chart about opiates.
that is a huge step in your recovery.
congratulations on a job well done.
Thanx for advice, saw Doctor today and pressure is fine. I guess the readings taken the day of steriod shot for back pain were because of pain, prior exertion ( a lengthy walk) or just an anomoly. I used the oportunity to ask Doc (as I've seen suggested on a few threads here) to never prescribe opiate type meds to me again. Thankyou all who answered, guess anxiety level is keepin' even with the crazy sleep pattern. Aloha all, Bill out.
As the above said - normal part of detox or not, get to a doc ASAP. You don't screw round with high BP.

30 days is great. congratulations.
opiate withdrawal does cause high bp, but at 30 days it should have
stabilized.
it is very possible that you have had high bp but because you used opiates for 3 years it could have been masked.
I would make a doctors appt to get it checked out.
great job on going to an aa meetings every day is very good.
a support system is essential to helping prevent relapse.
