Try not to get your DOC.....and if need be have someone give them to you as prescribed...u r lucky you quit or you would have to take a zillion to get relief...been there

I'm in your boat also..I just turned 20 and i know in the future i'll be offered these pills either for legit reasons, or not..eitherway i know its gonna be hard to say no or even have them and control it--Like they said above, allow someone else to control it for you; Its the best way. Just stay strong and come on here for support through these times, it really helps. Be good, Be clean and live strong! God bless

I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth taken out at the sametime. The Dr. only gave me antibiotics.

Like allaboutmary says, you have someone give you the pain meds as prescribed. My son had his taken out last summer. He was only on pain meds for a couple of days he had all 4 taken out and had lortab for two days, then tylenol #3 for 4-5 days then advil. He did fine and was hardly in any pain. He looked like he had been beaten but he did great he is 16. If you have been drug free for a while you will be fine just be sure to have someone other than yourself give you the meds.

No doubt there will be times in your life where you will need them. You just need to take every precaution when taking them.  Let someone else hold them and give them to you as prescribed.  Get non-narcotic pain meds when ever possible.  You can probably get away with Advil, Aleive or Tylenol for your wisdom teeth.  Try as best you can to tuff this out you dont want to go through this all again.
