withdrawls?

recently i quit taking up to 8-10 10mg hydrocodone daily. a friend gave me zanax 1mg which i used the first 2 days then someone else had some extended release oxycontin (i broke them open, i hate anything time release), used those for a couple days. i did go 5 days with just ultram es 50mg to take (made 10 of them last the 5 days and broke them also so i was only taking 25mg at a time). my question is why didn't i experience withdrawls? i had 2 nights i just couldn't sleep. not anxiety, just didn't feel tired. after 5 days the pain itself sent me back to the pills. wasn't body aches etc... but the shoulder/neck injury on top of i have PHN in my trigeminal nerve on the same side. is it possible to be taking that many hydros for about 1 1/2 years and not be addicted?? or was the worst on it's way and i just was still toxic.

would love to be pill free..would love even more to be pain free!!! okay, that's unrealistic...would love to have pain that is tolerable!!! i have worked with my body (worked in nursing homes lifting) for 30+ years. got hurt at work in 06 and have yet to find a dr. that can do anything but guess at the problem. comp paid me off a year ago, no medical etc. i had the choice of continue fighting with the ins co and be living in my car or take the money. they fought every dr. i've had against mri's ct's etc. so nobody is even sure what the problem is. so far what i've been told it's a pulled muscle??!! 3 years later??!! now i'm back to work privately, but in constant pain so i buy hydros from a couple friends. supposed to be on a 20lb weight limit, dr. from  a year ago restriction. that's not realistic!!!! i do have to have income of some type!!! most days 10mg hydros  every 6-8 hrs is enough, other days there ain't enough pills in that bottle!!!! anyone with any ideas of docs in syr ny area willing to treat someone with no insurance?? most won't even see you, even if you pay cash. one dr. told me it's because if i can't afford the diagnostics, he'd be working blindly. makes sense but does me no good at all!!!!

ultram is an addciting drug//affects the same receptors narcotics do//it is narcotic-like..but very addicting

perhaps the reason u didnt experience wds..is because u never really stopped taking narcotics?

oxycontin is way stronger than hydrocodone (in my opinion)....i also believe ultram is time released or has a half life much like sub (?) so it may be in your system longer than you realized.

what i get out of your post is that you had five days without pills and without w/d...it could be that the stuff was still in your system.

are you on them now? if so, what are you on?
