I have already posted a question regarding the use of suboxzone, how long must i be in withdraw from chewing fentanyl pathces, to start suboxzone and how should i use suboxzone.  Where i live it would take a year and a half to find a doctor. also i plan to get counselling, so that i stay clean.  Why is counselling so important for an addict?? Please any advice is appreciated.

Well hun first off how long have you been on these patches? You really shouldnt chew them it can stop your heart instantly! They are meant to be slowly absorbed into your body over a 24-48 hour phase. NOT INSTANTLY. Please be careful. You have to be off all opiates for like a day or 2 before you start takin Suboxone. There are many other things to take into considerstion also. Counselling is very important because of the fact that you have to be able to express your feelings to someone who knows like exactly what your going through. It is a very selfish diesease but can be cured with the right plan. How much do you take?

There is some debate over the value of 'counseling' for addiction.  This is a very complicated issue;  addiction is a disease of self-centered preoccupation, and in counseling a person engages in even more 'self-study'.  I prefer group therapy by a long shot, as that allows other group members to call the addict on his character defects, and forces the addict to acknowledge the experiences of other people besides himself.

On my blog suboxonetalkzone.com  I have an article entitled 'is counseling good for addiction?'  I invite you to go to my blog and use the search function to find the article.
