That sounds OK, but you will probably need to go lower than 0.5mg down to 0.25 and maybe even below that to make the withdrawals easier. I commend you for your honesty with others and especially with yourself. Staying true to yourself is probably the hardest thing we can do. Make sure that you continue not to look for excuses for yourself to slide back. That is what we do when we start lying to ourselves. Good luck to you.
THANKS for the encouragement. I'm working on getting over the psychological effects....shame,guilt,ect.... I am going to limit myself to 2mgs. tomorrow. I've got to make the decision and stick with it instead of stringing this out. I've been in this cycle before. My interests are similar to yours....being outdoors. Snowboarding to surfing and SUP since moving from mountains of NC to FL but substaces always get in the way of healthy passions when i make a wrong turn. Thanks for taking the time to comment and good luck.
Hi,
I was on oxys, than tapered with one tramadol a day for few weeks and than finally went to doctor, who gave me suboxone. I was the pill, not a subliqual film.. I only took half the first day.. and since it has a "long foot" as you know.. I did not need anything until three days later. I took a quarter on that day and again nothing for three days, than I took my last quarter.. after three days I go little uncomfortable.. during the day had no withdrawals and just at night I had to take sleeping pill, cause I was only getting two-three hours a night sleep.. but I only did the sleeping pill for three days and I have been clean since.. 11 days.. I know that you went little crazy for two weeks, but it should not be so bad, especially since you were clean for a year.. Just try to take a half only when you feel that you absolutely need it.. you need to first find out "how little you need' to not get sick.. when you know what that amount is, you can start tapering down.. I really believe that it is much easier to do from Suboxone than from any other drugs.. because it has such a "long foot".. meaning it last much longer in your body.. so you can only take it once in few days.. Just find the minimum and be serious about your taper schedule.. do not take more than your minimum until you absolutely need it.. only that way you will be able to get down to nothing.. believe me, it will be easier than you think.. but you really need to commit to it and NOT make excuses to take more than your "minimum".. you know what I mean :-).. Good luck!
